Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Hmmmmm, that looks like a certain special car. That’s an awesome log, I can’t wait to see the numbers.
Added v8 firmware to the n54tech JB4 thread so we can start to get a wider range of data in. This latest update makes the JB4 not only the best Stinger tuning solution out but also the best Stinger data logging system.

1) Enabled over boost and run lean safety systems. Value "last safety" will be stored in the event of a failsafe for later analysis in the read only area of the JB4 user adjustment page.
b) Over boost safety: If boost exceeds value entered under "boost safety" on the user adjustment page (default value of 20psi) for more than a second under heavy throttle JB4 will revert to map0 (stock tuning).
b) Run lean safety: If air/fuel ratio in either bank exceeds 15:1 for more than a second under heavy throttle the JB4 will revert to map0 (stock tuning).
2) Revised CANbus to add cylinder 2-6 raw timing advance. Although early days we expect this data to further help customers when doing custom tuning, exploring the power limits of various fuels and modifications, and to become a backbone of the upcoming JB4 auto tuning logic we're working on. This logging can be disabled by setting FutureUseD bit4 on.
3) Added option for a more linear pedal input to boost profile mapping. The default pedal mapping is FutureUseD bit7 OFF, while setting FutureUseD bit7 ON enables the more linear input mapping.

For number 3 how would this change drivability?
I'm hoping that it's what I think it is - guide the throttle with your foot pressure instead of how soft it is at initial input then can come on like a Mack truck. Especially a problem in Comfort mode.

It's like the v5 and earlier pedal input routine that 80% dislike compared to v6+, but some wanted it, so we added it back as an option.

ok thanks .... I don’t see the options for that hud ?? Where is it ?? And is that for less aggressive pedal response ? Anyone got a screen shot of were you enable ??

Just posted a log on N54 from yesterday’s run. Pulled more boost eliminating wheel spin. Car was stout.

Is this an AWD with no fuel wires?
No that's a different car, you're thinking of this one lol. It's decent but not being tuned on a dynojet so numbers are not really internet relevant yet. It's going to need more boost for sure.

IAT wires needed? Looks like the car is definitely limiting it to ~20, so WGC?
For hybrid turbo tuning it's still early days. But to really get the most out of them either JB4 EWG control or a back end flash map was always going to be required.

I couldn't find clear answers on the topic or using google so I will ask here. It is about the OBD cable part of the Jb4 install.
When you "run the OBD cable through the rubber grommet", are you supposed to
1) make a little hole in the rubber?
2) make the cable pass inside the grommet, along with the original wiring?
3) make the cable pass next the grommet using the same hole in the firewall, by pushing the grommet "inwards"?
In the videos or the tutorials most say to push with a screwdriver and run the wire, which sounds very simple but I find it a little bit unclear and I am worried about making irreversible damage to the rubber and weakening the weather sealing.
Also, when you "run the wire" are you supposed to
1) push it with the connector "head first" first through whatever hole it will go through?
2) use a sort of stick to push the wire that you grab on the other side?
Finally, on the other side is it doable to grab the cable the other side without removing the ECU ?

Oh so the wire does not go inside the center of the grommet?

Sucker wouldn’t fit for me, I ran it to the outside pinched against the firewall. Add some electrical tape or wire loom to prevent chaffing.
