Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

But it won’t display yet, correct?

Yay! Auto-tune!!!!! I asked in the JB4 sub-thread and neeeeever got answer!

Has v6 been posted yet?

Can I go straight from v4 to v6 or do I have to do v5 first?

Can load any version you want, they are not additive based. An early copy of v6 is in the n54tech thread so we can get some more feedback before adding it to the main firmware post there.

With v6 it displays under E85, yes. Just keep in mind it's a work in progress. I'll discuss it more once I start getting more data on it.

For some reason mine doesn’t display. On v6 or v6.3

Maybe car didn't idle long enough then for it to register. Anyway, at this point we're just collecting data on it. So when you post CSV files I'll see what I need to see in those.

No fix available for the top speed limiter?

You are correct. Is showing just fine

3.3 aswell feels really quick but doesn’t break much traction
Definitely doesn’t sound right and suggest posting a few “launch control” logs to see where your boost levels are in 1st. I have the GT2 with LSD and still easily spin tires with just intakes, especially in the colder weather... with 50-100 more torque you should roast those stock tires!

V6 JB4 firmware has a virtual ethanol sensor built in. Still early days on development, but it's the precursor to full JB4 auto tuning. Where you just add whatever fuel you want to add and the JB4 sorts out the rest. :)

When we find the fuel system limits we'll release an upgrade kit for it including a physical ethanol sensor kit. We work very closely with Fuel-IT.

:eek::eek:....If you can make that happen Terry it will be a definite game changer.

Thanks StungBlueGt that’s a good idea I’ll post a few logs next week.

I was thinking the same thing the tyres should be getting destroyed by now, something certainly doesn’t sound right

So there's hope??!?

The JB4 can definitely do it. I'm just not sure we want to offer it for various reasons. Maybe we'll make it some sort of a DIY thing at some point.

I wouldn't want to take the liability risk if I was Terry. So many stinger owners who complained endlessly about the lower speed rating for all season tires, despite it being a clear liability issue for the manufacture seeking a car with a speed limit that exceeds the tires. If kia wouldn't accept the liability why would a small company like BMS risk it?

That is a part of the factor, the other factor is we don't have a good way to predict how the stability control system might react to a clamped speed at high speeds. I understand that Lap3-PRO allows their customers to cut an ECU wire and connect it to their system to clamp the speed sensor. At some point we will allow the same thing. But I'd have to have a comfort level with it. Even if customers assume all liability, which they normally do in situations like this, I still don't want someones accident on my conscience.

I prefer a one on many format so this thread or our stinger thread on n54tech are good places to reach me. :)
