Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

I installed the JB4, bluetooth kit and fuel wires last night. Did a few runs on map1 to get some logs, however, the logging seems to stop recording - see attached log as an example. This was a stationary start (no launch control), pedal to the floor, auto shifting, got into third gear... however the log seems to stop at 3,000rpm? It's done this exact same thing on multiple logs (I've also attached a second example). Am I being dumb and missing something?
I just want to get some decent logs so I can get them checked to make sure all is running ok!

For what it's worth, current Mods:
JT CAI
Borla Exhaust
Eibach Springs
JB4 + Bluetooth + fuel wires

Hmm not sure on that, maybe something with the phone? For logging you could start manually and drive around, do some WOT, etc, to see if it always stops or if it's just the auto start/stop.

Had a similar issue where the dials would freeze well most of them did. I called them to get a new OBDII Cable as thats the only thing it could be. Works fine so far.

I just went for another drive, started the logging manually, drove around a bit and then did a WOT run. Everything seemed fine until the WOT and then all the dials on the screen froze, but the app wasn't freezing because I could still click into the logs and settings pages... anyway, here are the three logs from that drive.

What about a log on map0?

Make sure the OBDII cable is secure, and nothing else aftermarket on the CANbus. Other than that maybe a faulty OBDII cable, if you tried another app, ensured BlueTooth kit is connected properly.

Yup same issue. I would check the OBD Cable. I have a shorty that Burger sent me by accident I can send you to test it, but it wont be long enough for a permanent solution.

What was wrong with the original? Shorted it on the firewall hole or something?

Not sure. I ran it through the Firewall and had no issues for the first couple months, then it started happening had issues for a few weeks but then it seem to correctrf itself after an update. Couple weeks later it was constant. Would freeze almost immediately Burger sent me a new cable but it was way to short, contacted them and they sent the correct one. No issues so far.

I double checked all my connections and wiring - everything looks fine. I then did a run on Map0 with normal driving and WOT and the log worked fine - see attached. I then pulled over, switched to Map1, and did the exact same thing. Dials froze and no log saved. I'm currently running the stock plugs and havent re-gapped them - could this be causing the issue when trying Map1? I've bought the Denso plugs and will be getting them installed early next week, but wanted to get things checked before I switched them over.

I'm pretty new this, so apologies if I'm being dumb, but this has got me beat. It doesn't make sense to me why it works fine on Map0 but not Map1. I followed the instruction videos exactly, updated the firmware and entered the new fuel bias settings as advised.

Looks like I'm going with a JB4.

Any tips? Maps to try/Firmware/Settings? Densos okay?

I'm on 92 octane. Don't want to switch out or add anything fuel wise.

Bone stock. ~50 miles on it atm.

EDIT: Also, question. Will I need to run 2 different maps if I get Exhaust Dump Valves?

It's possible on the plugs, strange as it sounds. I'd leave it on map0 until you swap over and if it continues then we'll send another OBDII.

Yeah I agree. Sounds like the safest way to go. Other than this minor hiccup, I've been super impressed with your product, delivery speed and service. Can't wait to start utilizing it's power soon!
Is there any way to tell from the logs I've posted if the fuel wires are working as intended or will I only know this when I start logging Map1 fully?

Exhaust Dump valves have nothing to do with which map you run......if you on 92 octane you can run map 1 or map 2.......Denson will be fine just gap them coorectly .022-028 I gapped mine at .024.......FYI Just so you know the map you run is based on the fuel your running not mods.......

I had a slight issue at first if I let out of throttle too much it would stop, but it then started working normally. You lift out of throttle any?

His issue is plugs, forgot I had the same issue during development when I smoked a stock plug. For some reason the coil kicks back a current surge when ceramic cracks at higher boost levels.

Keep it on map0 (stock) or map4 (less than stock) until Denso plugs are in.

So does that mean one of his plugs is damaged?

Yes probably has the ceramic cracked, the risk of trying to raise power on the stock gap.

Good info, cracked plug... no bueño.
