I've been texting back and forth with a dealer since the beginning of the year, and he finally texted me with a good number for traditional financing...no lease, no balloon. He sent me the buyer's order. I've been trying to attach it, but it won't let me. He said they're doing a straight cash savings of $10,000(no military, etc. to deflate the price and get you in the door). Which he said a lot of folks do of course.

The buyer's order from them reads as below(I don't think I have enough posts to attach a file**)

2019 GT2 Panthera Metal
MSRP - $50,985
Cash savings applied- $10,000
Conquest- $2,000
Subtotal of $38,985
Sales tax-$1,436.56
Doc fee- $379
Total- $40,800.56 OTD
Trade-$16,000 for my GS350
Loan amount-$24,800.56

I asked if I could pay cash, but no he said I'd have to finance through Kia with no minimum loan.
He said the APR is 3.9% which I don't like, he also said there's no early payoff penalty. So my plan would be to do the loan and pay it off in one lump sum when the first payment is due to avoid all the interest.

Thoughts???

Is the trade value good on your GS350? $50k is the MSRP with no dealer add ons? I was not able to do anything like this in 2018 for my GT1 but rate <1%.

Go for it.

Lease it, then buy it. You would save another $5-7K I think

What is the cash savings made up from? Is that mostly dealer discount? If so, that is the biggest dealer discount I've heard of.

Avoiding interest is of course a totally firm concept. No early payoff penalty. I see nothing holding you back.

I don't see how a lease incentive can beat that discount. People have been saying that they can't double up the conquest cash and lease incentive. 10K plus another 2K is unbeatable.

The biggest dilemma I have is my local Lexus dealer has a couple of newer GS350 F sport for around the same price OTD. They’d have 20-30k miles and be 2 years old vs a new Stinger with 10 miles. My wife thinks I’ll have the badge snob mentality in the back of my mind wanting another Lexus. Both are awesome cars but in different classes completely. The $10,000 was just a lump sum discount from what I see on the form.

Lease cash incentive is $8,600. So you lose the conquest cash but pick up an additional 6,600 in savings, minus rent charge on one month. Hold them to the 10,000 discount and then tell them you want to lease versus buy, knowing you'll lose the lease cash. Might work!

KGH Its a smoking deal..go for it.....but is the dealer yanking your chain? All that pricing via texting may not come to pass....I hope it does though...let us know if the dealer follows through for ya...:) Wash

Dealer discount, factory incentives. You can usually stack them.

But is that 10K discount the dealer's way of selling the lease incentive? I do not believe in a 10K dealer discount stacked on top of a Kia $8,600 lease incentive.

Hard for me to digest as well (10k dealer discount) for 2019. I know they are not selling like hot cakes but 10k (20%) is far too much for current model year car. I bet the dealer is doing bait and switch.

The dealer discount, comes from the dealer. The manufacture discount comes from the manufacture.

You can stack them, they are two seperate things. Common when you see questions like, "is that discount before rebate?"

This is how I got my 2018 GT2 AWD for $36K OTD with no trade and no money down. I stacked the rebates, and the dealer discount. These are known as unicorn deals, since it's usually a discount tied to a VIN, with extra manufacture/dealer cash in the deal to get the car gone. Generally these vehicles only get that under very specific circumstances.

Please have the dealer breakdown the incentives, and the discount. They have them bundled together and we aren't really sure what they are selling the vehicle for. It looks like a solid deal, but let's make sure!

Mods, please let me know if this info isn't appropriate:

This is Ferguson in OK, I can already tell. They're offering $10k off all GT2's and they have many in stock. The $10k discount includes "$2,750 - Exp. 05/31/2019, MUST FINANCE WITH KIA MOTORS UNDER K506 PROGRAM" and "$2,000 - Exp. 05/31/2019, ONLY COMPATIBLE ON SELECT VINS". I'm not sure if the $2000 incentive is stackable with the lease incentive. They have stacked a further $2k of conquest cash on there to make the full $12k off MSRP.

Finance and lease incentives are different. They cannot be stacked.

You can stack dealer discount with manufacture discounts... not both lease cash and finance rebates.

A lot of dealers combine their discount, with the manufacturer's to make it seems like you are getting a "killer deal". That allows them to show a larger % off.

Always get the selling price of the vehicle, discounts and rebates separated so you have a clearer understanding of what you are actually getting

Confirmed that the "$2,000 - Exp. 05/31/2019, ONLY COMPATIBLE ON SELECT VINS" cannot be applied with a lease.

In summary, this is $6750 of non-lease-applicable incentives on top of a $5250 dealer discount.
