Been texting a dealer for months, finally got a new 2019 GT2 price down to $38,985

Only reason I couldn’t go with a deal in Oklahoma was I couldn’t make the drive in time to make the deal work and the light colored interior popped up locally at the last minute...literally. The deal I got was likely due to it being VIN specific motivation and VIN specific incentives for the dealer to move that particular car. I know a few folks called the dealer the week after and they couldn’t get down to that number. I threw got lucky on the timing and color combo. I’ve heard some Stingers have VIN specific discounts off MSRP. Check out the link below for example. See if they can add conquest or loyalty on top of their discount. Worst case, they say no? Best case, you’re around $41,000 OTD depending on the taxes.

Yup, all of their cars that are highly discounted have the $2,000 summer bonus cash on them. The only discounts not included in that price I believe is the conquest cash of 2K (i think) and maybe a military discount. I believe they were offering me 9250 off MSRP with 0% or 12K off without 0%. I ended up qualifying for a couple more rebates, which brought the price down a bit more. So, realistically you could get more than the 10K off MSRP if you finance at the higher rate.

If they offer you good money for your trade (or if you are happy with it); or you don't have a trade- this is probably the best pricing in the nation. I had a pleasant experience in dealing with them, but ultimately the trade for me was the deciding factor. I ran all numbers, even financing with KIA and refinancing with my Credit Union, and the 0% was still a better deal for me. YMMV

Yep I second what you say on that. They are easy to work with and offered me right at KBB for my trade. Dealer local to me offered me a bit more for the trade. I took the 3.9% because I was planning to pay it off on month 1. Kia confirmed I can pay it off on month 1 and avoid any interest. Dealers have been trying to say you must make 3-4 payments first, but Kia said negative on that.

Man, you are lucky- they were 4K light on KBB for me. I tried trading in one car, and when they were lowballing me on that one, I tried another, and they were low on that one too!

Well the term "reasonable" means different things to different people :p

My hat's off to you. That is a serious trip to get your car. I actually drove to Chicago (~750 miles) to get my current Acura TL Type-S in 2008. Finding that car with the manual tranny was very tough, so the trip was definitely worth it, especially now in retrospect since that car has given me 12 good years (and continues to do so). I noticed your trip was about double!
It wasn't without a cost. I developed a DVT behind my left knee from sitting for so long. (drove back nonstop)

Ok, I had to Google what dvt stood for. Sorry to hear that. Hope it's all good now

Ok I live in the Tulsa, Ok area and I just helped my daughter buy a new Micro blue GT2 at Ferguson Kia in Broken Arrow. She is a successful salesperson with a six-figure salary but I am a Finance guy and avid car enthusiast so she brought me along to make sure she got the best deal. The deal turned out to be even better than we hoped it would be. It was a standard GT2 with a MSRP of $50.9 including freight (note this is a RWD model). There was no trade-in involved because my daughter had an accident that totaled her Audi, much to our surprise. Their website advertised an $11k discount off of their in-stock GT2's. I was expecting some sort of "gotcha" at some point during the purchase process. However, when we got there, we found out she was eligible for another $2k off due to the fact my daughter has been driving an Audi A6, which is on their special competitive rebate list. So basically, the price went as follows:

$50.9 MSRP, inc freight
-13.0 discounts and rebates
$37.9 net price
0.379 doc fee
$ 38.3 price before state taxes

The salesman said it was the lowest price GT2 he had ever seen and I have no reason to doubt him. Needless to say I am very pleased we were able to get such a deal on such a great car. While I don't own a Stinger, I am a car enthusiast and will probably follow this board since my daughter now has one and we can certainly learn from others that own the car.

Yep they were a breeze to work with. I just couldn’t find a babysitter so I could make the drive. Got lucky the local dealer to me had the exact color combo. Awesome deal for you guys for sure!

Fantastic deal!
I assume she did not take the 0%? I just noticed on their website they have increased the discount by 1k since I dealt with them last week....I think they are probably the most aggressive in the nation on these cars.

Koons near D.C. advertises similar deals. Not sure if they bait and switch or not.

I've been texting back and forth with a dealer since the beginning of the year, and he finally texted me with a good number for traditional financing...no lease, no balloon. He sent me the buyer's order. I've been trying to attach it, but it won't let me. He said they're doing a straight cash savings of $10,000(no military, etc. to deflate the price and get you in the door). Which he said a lot of folks do of course.

The buyer's order from them reads as below(I don't think I have enough posts to attach a file**)

2019 GT2 Panthera Metal
MSRP - $50,985
Cash savings applied- $10,000
Conquest- $2,000
Subtotal of $38,985
Sales tax-$1,436.56
Doc fee- $379
Total- $40,800.56 OTD
Trade-$16,000 for my GS350
Loan amount-$24,800.56

I asked if I could pay cash, but no he said I'd have to finance through Kia with no minimum loan.
He said the APR is 3.9% which I don't like, he also said there's no early payoff penalty. So my plan would be to do the loan and pay it off in one lump sum when the first payment is due to avoid all the interest.

Thoughts???

so You’re aware Kia south Austin claims this sale never happned, and refuses to work with me after telling them they were still high for what I’ve seen them(Kia south Austin) sell for
