3.3TT AVAILABLE NOW... SSR PERFORMANCE Power Pack 3 Development!

@Never thought Really shouldn't be more than a few tightly torqued bolts and a couple of rubber hangers. Primary downpipes would be much more time consuming, but I'm guessing two ramps up front and a jack on on rear corner and it is a breeze. I'd help if you needed it.

Depending on the ramps you might also need a couple of wood planks to get the front end high enough to roll onto them.

The description on their website says:

Fitment / Applications

  • 2018+ Kia Stinger 3.3TT (all trims)

A customer called them and was told that they do not fit the AWD Stingers. I’m looking for confirmation from them here.

That’s what the web shows I have AWD and I ordered.

Yes, I realize that is what their website says. I'm questioning whether it's accurate. Also AWD is not a trim. It's an option in the US and standard in Canada.

I'd like SSR to verify here before I place my order.

WTF is does not fit AWD???? SSR can you confirm

Every aftermarket exhaust system for this car fits awd/rwd the same. I can't imagine the downpipes are any different.

That's an assumption though. The downpipes fit further forward than the exhaust system. AWD has more components on the front end of the car than RWD. I can totally see there being a difference in fitment.

I would highly doubt that it wouldn't. Nothing major changes in the rear between AWD and RWD.

Are the JUN's for both?

Product Description
Full stainless steel downpipe kit for the 2018+ Stinger 3.3 Turbo, made by JUN.B.L. in Korea.

The downpipes are 100% bolt-on with no cutting or welding involved, and will provide increase power and torque, as well as a slightly more aggressive exhaust note.

The 4WD and rear wheel drive models are slightly different, so please choose the correct model that you need.

Interesting. The ad on import shark doesn't mention anything...

DOWNPIPES are AWD and RWD specific
The mounting bracket from transmission to pipe are in different locations

I have AWD and ordered these downpipes as well. We better get @SSR Performance to chime in before we get sent parts that don't fit.

Just pre-ordered mine, looking forward to receiving them!!!

Thank you very much! :)

Also, update on intake? I’d love to hear more clips of the sound of the DP with stock mufflers. A little more aggressive growl may be perfect for me.

Working on it currently! The crazy interest in the downpipes and exhaust has slowed us down a little bit, we are focusing on getting that stuff all done and shipped out towards the end of this month. You will hear about it eventually though!

and I am still waiting on the EVC turbo-back with HFC's

Working on that as well. Same reason as above!

Will that cat delete cause any kind of problems with the computer?

Nope. Not the secondary. The SSR Downpipes cause no CEL. Your car will only run better and stronger!

30 HP and 26 lb. ft. gain with downpipe and secondary cat deletes is very impressive!!

If you were to design turbo back downpipes with a high flow primary cat, I'd bet there would be another impressive gain given Tork's video, early on in the car's development, of the primary cats showing how one of them (passenger's I believe) was necked down to the point where a 1 1/2 inch tube wouldn't go through it! On the GT-Rs, aftermarket downpipes with high flow cats netted a 30 HP increase. I would think something similar, if not more, on the Stingers given the degree of OEM restriction?

Thank you! Those gains were with only secondary cats removed. Not primary. I'm sure there is a lot more power left if primary's were also unrestricted.

These dyno numbers and reviews were so impressive I bought a set of downpipes. Damn you guys.

Thank you for your order! :)

Sorry for novice question; I have never installed downpipes, are they easy to install lite cat back exhaust or is it more involved?

Very simple install. Should take no longer than an hour or so.

Same question as @junesrig. What would be a reasonable amount of time for labor at a shop for these?

Refer to my answer above :)

So is it accurate that these only fit the RWD Model? Any plans to develop an AWD version?

All Canadian 3.3tt Stingers are AWD

Our downpipes will come with a custom bracket plate that will also allow the same downpipe to fit the AWD version.

A customer called them and was told that they do not fit the AWD Stingers. I’m looking for confirmation from them here.

They will 100% fit the AWD version as well. We will be providing a custom bracket plate to make up for the difference in transmission brace placement on the AWD version. Working on this now! :)

No worries :) It will fit!

It does :) Please read above for explanation.

That's an assumption though. The downpipes fit further forward than the exhaust system. AWD has more components on the front end of the car than RWD. I can totally see there being a difference in fitment.

Correct. We have accounted for it :)

DOWNPIPES are AWD and RWD specific
The mounting bracket from transmission to pipe are in different locations

That is correct. It has been accounted for using a custom bracket plate that we will be including for all orders. Adding in a drop down on the website so that RWD and AWD can be specified for all future orders so that we know whether it is necessary to include or not to include the plate based on AWD or RWD.

I have AWD and ordered these downpipes as well. We better get @SSR Performance to chime in before we get sent parts that don't fit.

Sorry for the late reply. Came back to a slur of replied about RWD vs AWD after the weekend hahaha. Don't worry though, you guys are all covered :) Read my replies above.

Now let's let them get to work on building these things!
