• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

I have and I’m not colour blind! It’s red, flashing and illegal as StingerGTSS shows. Only solution is 3D print a new set or keep his fingers crossed he doesn’t get pulled over.
I still see amber on a red background

69 amber

They are installing unichip q4, gapping plugs down to .022-.026 to accommodate for the boost for $1900 inclusive. :)

I grew up in Port Stephens and spent many years stationed at RAAF Williamtown maintaining F/A-18A Hornets.
Now they are the real Stingers

Guys if you are worried about warranty and stock plug gappings check this

Chriistopher Hemzorz the reason some of the USA Stinger forums are suggesting to regap spark plugs is because they are not controlling all the tune parameters. We have no issues what ever with stock plugs and stock plug gaps. Our system doesn’t communicate with the factory ecu doesn’t leave any form of electronic footprint and is IMPOSSIBLE to tell it’s ever been connected

So basically if they are saying that and a plug cracks then they would cover under their warranty.

Further to my last I have secured a deal of $1800 for a Kia specific tune unichip which sits at roughly 90% tuned for all stingers and then the auto shop tune it the remaining 10% given every car is slightly different.
That discount is half from auto tune and half from unichip Australia down from $1990 RRP.

I won't need to touch the spark plugs as unichip have guaranteed the chip is tuned around them being stock. So if people are stuffing their plugs they are either putting the wrong fuel in or using an inferior tune.

That's the advice I have received.

Unichip have done 40 odd Stingers in house and have a good base file that works great and gives their dealers a head start when tuning. Then they do the last bit to get it perfect for your car.

:D

Anyone have watermarks stain their chrome bits like side mirrors?received_555519901610099.webpannoyed as I paid for ceramic coating and it's on a lot of the paintwork too ...first wash

Yeah with a chamois straight after I soaped it up with non pH soap....

I washed mine less than an hour ago. Battery leaf blower to get rid of excess water and then microfiber clothes (from Kmart) to finish off. I don't think tap water would make a difference but I do use a detergent formulated for ceramic coatings. I'm unsure if my water is tap or rain as it comes from building fire suppression tank on rooftop.

How do people apply that foam that sits? With a gerney?

Yes pressure washer. It's called a foam canon.

Auto Glym, looks like your using one of the best products out there, I have wanted to try Auto Glym for years, if for any reason your not happy with Auto Glym or just want to try another brand after you finish it, many of us have made the move too Bowden's Own which is 100% Australian owned, and has the most amazing washes, and detailing sprays, and the best cleaning, drying and detailing cloths, expensive but worth the money.
