• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

Thanks man....have ceramic guys checking it out next week will wash again after tune and buy a leaf blower! Haha
How do people apply that foam that sits? With a gerney?
I use this attached to my Karcher. The bottle is a 100ml sample they give you to try. I bought a bigger bottle, works well. I’m definitely a convert to Bowden’s Own, plus it’s Aussie made. 63244284-3C16-44DC-A654-F2678DD635FC.webpE368DD2F-ADDE-44AB-8BDC-B57AA71C94BC.webp

Anyone have watermarks stain their chrome bits like side mirrors?View attachment 21619annoyed as I paid for ceramic coating and it's on a lot of the paintwork too ...first wash
Water marks on the chrome annoys the shit out of me. I haven’t washed mine in over a week due to rain and being at work and the mirror covers have marks all over them from rain water. If you use a chamois or some other drying cloth to dry after you wash the car, give the mirror covers and grille a run over with a microfiber cloth afterwards, they should come up nicely. Also I bought some Bowden’s Own Naked Glass cleaner for my windows, and applied it to the chrome sections as per the label and they’re like mirrors. It took a lot longer for the rain water to leave marks after using Naked Glass on them. You could also try Bowden’s Own Fully Slick which I still haven’t used but a mate raves about it. It adds an extra hydrophobic layer above your paint protection.

Thanks heaps bro :)

Thanks mate I'll have to invest....what do you use to scrub the car? Just a sponge?
Just a microfiber sponge from Maguires, and the protektiv car wash detergent the dealer gave me. I use 2 buckets, 1 with warm water for wash, the other with cold just to rinse my sponge between sections of the car. When the sponge dies I’ll probably get a Bowden’s Own shagtastic wash cloth or one of their mits. I’m gradually just adding to my car washing kit as I go.

No problem. As @DCBStingerGT said Bowden’s Own make some good quality cloths. I use their Big Green Sucker to dry my car now instead of a chamois. I use their Big Softie (blue one) to apply the glass cleaner, and I have a Drop Bear cloth to give it a final buff. They also make a microfiber wash liquid to clean all of your cloths with, I just throw mine in the machine with a bit of it after I’ve cleaned the car, it brings them up nicely and gets all of the detergent & polishes etc out of the cloths ready for the next use. Oh and I don’t work for or get a commission from Bowden’s Own, but I probably should lol

Hey there @Coast GT , I understand why your mate raves about Bowden's Own Fully Slick, I have also been using it since last year, and it adds that hydrophobic layer as you mentioned, I find it also attracts less dust as well, and leaves an awesome shine.

Auto Glym, looks like your using one of the best products out there, I have wanted to try Auto Glym for years, if for any reason your not happy with Auto Glym or just want to try another brand after you finish it, many of us have made the move too Bowden's Own which is 100% Australian owned, and has the most amazing washes, and detailing sprays, and the best cleaning, drying and detailing cloths, expensive but worth the money.
And you can get 30% off this weekend at Repco for motoring club memberships....NRMA, RACV etc.

Bowdens own best yet. Makita blower $99 total tools I think model number m4000G

With 30% off I might consider purchasing Bowden's Own After Glow, @AV8R already uses it and said it's an awesome spray to use while drying up your Stinger while it is still wet.

I would never use a sponge. Some good and cheap products at Kmart....wash mit & microfiber cloths about $4 or $5 each.

36v Ryobi does 450 :) not far behind
I did a bunch of research and it was all too hard so just went ryobi haha
I use this & the 82v line trimmer & one only 2ah battery enables me to trim & blow down both front & back yards on only one full charge & the battery can be fully recharged again in 30mins

Sponge!!! No no no no and no chamois either.
Microfibre wash mit, only thing that touches the paint is microfibre period! Bowdens own make a high quality set of washing utensils especially the big green sucker for drying the car. If repco have a sale buy them there, the bear cloth is good also for detailing spray. Wash with you foam then use Afterglow, have a look on YouTube as it shows you all their products.

Yes very impressive but it has a hard tube, the Makita one is soft rubber so if you accidentally hit car no damage. If your careful then use the big gun, my one is A1.
Man I just spent $130 on shit to was the car at super cheap haha rip
