Anyone using tork or pressertech tunes?

Stop it. Lol. Seriously? My main reason for getting a tune is obviously more power. But I don’t want to sacrifice reliability. How long do you guys need with the ECU to tune it?

Ill put it this was the piggybacks Add more timing then our tunes do lol. and we will need it for a couple days.

This is the basic problem with flash maps as implemented today. Can't change them on the fly at home. With a JB4 you can run stock tuning, various levels of increased performance, and even a VALET map that is half the power of stock, at the press of a finger. Not to mention us RWD cars can limit boost out of the hole for improved traction as needed.

Best part is if you already have a flash map, the JB4 is still compatible for boost limiting, raising or lowering boost from the flash baseline, adjusting AFR up or down from the flash baseline, etc. :)

That's a bold claim with zero data posted to back it up

The problem with piggy backs is you have to run E85 or race gas and a super aggressive tune at the track to keep up with an every day ECU tune. So i want that full power all the time and on pump gas.
But using the box on top of the tune to run a little extra at the track is interesting. But I don't want to be the first to try it.

That isn't true, you can make great power on pump gas JB4 only. But since this is a generally a flash tune discussion I wanted to keep my comments narrowed to ways the JB4 could further help you guys. For many applications we publish free JB4 compatible flash maps. It's a proven solid approach because some things can only be done via a flash change and other things only via an intelligent programmable add on box like the JB4.

The fastest AWD Stinger is using a piggyback and 91 octane and e85 mixed, which is basically California's version of 93 octane. He isn't running the mix because he HAS to, he's doing it because that's what's available.

TonkaBob just posted valid dregy results that were faster then the previous fastest AWD

Lap3 Pro is doing well. Here is the updated 1/4 mile list.

My 12.08 was on 16 lbs boost and 92 octane. I guess we can make it faster still. So i guess Washington 93 is also a 92 ethanol mix but don't want to deal with that daily. So on the street if i come across the 12.07 car i'll beat him because he won't be running map 3?

I'm aware. He was on top of the hill for a few hours then someone beat his record by . 01.

Hell if I know. I was just pointing out that he wasn't using e85 out of necessity for that map of the tune, it's just the best fuel he had available.

I'm loving how you and he are going back and forth (I think he's the one that previously ran 12.14? ). This is good news for all of us. "Steel sharpens steel" and all that. Keep it up gents! In the end we'll all benefit.

Agree and the AWDs are making most the advances lately.
We need the top 1/4 mile list to be all in the 11s!

Here are the logs for my Tork Tune 12.02 1/4 mile run. (sorry xls or csv upload not working so just a pic) Tork has more secret sauce than just this so I don't think he will mind.
The readers digest version is 12 AFR, 16 lbs boost and typically 14-16 degrees timing advance all at WOT.
Seems like crazy mild boost to me for a 12.02. I think most piggy backs run 20 or more PSI on their (edit) track maps. This is a 92 octane map.

This thread from Terry shows Jb4 running 18 and 19 psi and the fastest Jb4 time is 12.33. Yo may have been misinformed.
New JB4 Stinger Dyno Results!
It's hard to tell since he posted graphs instead of raw numbers, but I don't see anything up in 18-19psi. There might be a spike or to into 17 (maybe 18) but it's straight up misinformation saying that piggybacks run 20+ psi on 93 octane.

Here is lap3 running 21.47 psi
LAP3 Pro-Tuner - 540BHP New Stock Turbo Record

Post 9 in the jb4 thread shows 19 psi but looks like it was an example of too much boost or timing. Prior chart has 17.5 - 18 psi.
It's misinformation saying piggybacks dont run 20 psi :)

Any knock reduction numbers on the run? And anyone know if any of the tuners are de-sensitizing the knock sensors?

I know in my ecoboost a few companies were playing the sensitivity on sensors... not sure “we” have that ability.
