Update. Since getting the recall done, I no longer have the slow oil drips I was having previously. I always questioned where the leak was coming from as it was a lot darker color than the oil in the oil pan. I have a 2018, and I'm shocked it took KIA this long to get a recall for this issue. Not sure yet. I haven't picked up the car after their coolant mistake. Going today after work. I will let you know if it fixed the leak.
Name of Stinger tech? Sounds like someone I need to have a side conversation with!I actually bought my ‘22 GT2 from them under CPO. Their Stinger tech is definitely into Stingers. I’m down the road in Raleigh or I’d take mine there for the recall work.
Anyone done theirs at Fred Anderson Kia in Raleigh?
sounds easy enough. just don't go into a KIA place. they don't have anything you need anyway, since you are quite possibly the king of "pay to play" and have no claim on a warranty whatsoever. No idea if any of this means I can still avoid Kia dealers for life. But lmk your thoughts bc I want to avoid them for life.
Everyone kept telling me to just sell and get a new car considering how much extra I was putting into it on top of the new engine; but love makes you do crazy things.sounds easy enough. just don't go into a KIA place. they don't have anything you need anyway, since you are quite possibly the king of "pay to play" and have no claim on a warranty whatsoever.
You had a scheduled appointment? Or you just showed up in hopes to get service?Took my car into the dealer early Tuesday for the recall. Naive me, I thought I'd drop the car off, wait around the customer lounge, maybe get an ealier light lunch.
Yes, a scheduled appointment. Bummer. DonYou had a scheduled appointment? Or you just showed up in hopes to get service?
Wow, sounds like they have a pretty poor scheduling system.Yes, a scheduled appointment. Bummer. Don
The incidents I can't wrap my head around are those shared above, and on the other recall threads, where they go in to the scheduled recall, and after hours of waiting they are told "we don't have the parts". WTH? You do not schedule an appointment UNTIL the parts are in hand, if you are a competent, considerate business that is.Wow, sounds like they have a pretty poor scheduling system.
That sucks.
I have the 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion package. I took my car in for brakes replacement, inspection and of course this recall. From what I was told.. the turbocharger oil feeder and hose assembly is quite a task to replace. I’ve been waiting for the service to be completed for the past 3 days.I had my car for service, a U.S. 2020 stinger gt 3.3t, and the dealer said the car needed the recall work to replace the oil feeder hose and pipe.
Your car is just "in queue".I have the 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion package. I took my car in for brakes replacement, inspection and of course this recall. Maybe he got a loaner car, and wasn't comfortable driving with the fire hazard?why leave your car waiting "in queue"? That makes no sense at all.
This was my reasoning for leaving mine there. Chances of it happening might be slim, but I wasn't willing to take that riskMaybe he got a loaner car, and wasn't comfortable driving with the fire hazard?
I see. Well, that is a judgment call for sure. Have you tried to get a look at the condition of your oil line's heat shroud? This was my reasoning for leaving mine there. Chances of it happening might be slim, but I wasn't willing to take that risk
Can’t argue with that logic. This was my reasoning for leaving mine there. Chances of it happening might be slim, but I wasn't willing to take that risk
