I really hate the way the new Kia badge looks on the front. It's just way too big, a weird colour, and totally like some kind of crappy aftermarket ebay badge. I'm guessing they didn't want to have to change the construction of the existing front bumper, so had to make the new logo a lot bigger for it to fully cover up the existing alignment holes. Really turns me off.
The new KIA logo is miles better than the one it replaces but it does look out of place on the hood. The "E" looks classier in my eyes. I'm not sure if making it smaller, putting a rounded box around it, or some other tweak would help it out.
I know. I was just pointing out that Kia does have all digital clusters available. Many of their clusters aren't model specific. For example, the cluster on a 2014 Forte, 2016 Optima, and current Stinger are identical.
One thing I noticed about the headlights. I have a 2020 base awd gt. My headlights have a yellow led corner reflector. It looks like the new gt1 lights have a regular halogen reflector. Also, I thought I had heard somewhere that the red brembos were going away unless you bought a gt2?

Cluster need to be configured for the exact model and options since many graphics, configuration is model and even trim dependent. Why have they decided not to bring digital cluster to NA for K5 and Stinger I do not know but might be while they ramp-up the sourcing of those?
As for 2014 forte, 2016 optima and current Stinger while I agree they look similar have a closer look side by side and you will see that they are different

I should have said they are similar instead of identical. Point is the hardware and software are shared with a few minor details being changed between the cars. Same could have been done with the Cadenza's cluster. Maybe Kia thought it was cost prohibitive to spend the money designing a new screen and altering the Cadenza's software for it to work. As for the K5, it is going to make Kia a lot more money than the Stinger so the cost of the hardware and software will be easier to recoup.
i might be in the minority but i dont think Id be a fan of an all digital dash. Especially if the tach and speedometer never moved. If all it does is change colors then i could care less. Now if it was like Audi, etc with NAV in the dash that would be cool. Im perfectly fine though with the way the Stinger is currently configured. I dont know if im old school or not lol.
I prefer actual gauges myself as well. Our JGC has mostly digital gauges, I'm not a fan. I like the current setup that the gt1/gt2 has with the screen in between real gauges. Unfortunately I have a base gt with the tiny screen, which I don't like. I'm wondering why a car with twin turbos can't get a boost gauge though?

Ditto, my prior vehicle had a larger lcd display between the gauges and I never used it for anything other than trip odo functions and to display the speed digitally. If there was a side view camera or nav displayed it would have been sweet. Having actual gauges is always nice to have in case the screen fails, which is much more likely than gauges failing. At least the car is still operable (need to at least have a speedometer, right?).
Don't get me wrong, I like the LOOK of a full dash digital display, but IMO it's just not practical. I'm sure someday I won't have a choice, especially with the trend in EVs going full digital display(s). They're basically the template for what tomorrow's cars are going to all look like.
Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but it doesn’t appear to be any different in the hatch and rear tail lights. If that’s the case, I’m down to see if I can figure out a retrofit solution for the full brake light for 2018 - 2021 Stingers. I don’t see if being difficult from an electrical perspective as long as the hatch part of the LED tail light aligns.
Is there an aftermarket solution for the incandescent reverse back up light bulbs as seen on the 2022 Stinger? Looking to swap them out for high quality LEDs with a color temperature of no higher than 5000K I confirmed that the reverse lights in the refreshed 2022 Stinger are NOT LED.

I can go either way on digital dashes. I had one in my 2016 Honda Civic. It wasn't a full digital display, as the gas gauge and temperature gauges were old school, but the center display was pretty large, especially for 2016. It was cool to have, but once I switched back to an analog display, I didn't miss it one bit. I like the Stinger's hybrid version.
If you're going to go full digital, you have to do something dramatic like the 2022 Hyundai Tucson's hoodless digital display to make it stand out imo.

Dropping a grand isn’t that big a deal but this mod isn’t a grand worthy. I’ll wait for the appropriate parts to become accessible stateside and it’ll be half the price.

That's my point, I feel like there's no way on earth I'd drop that much for tail lights. And good luck getting them for much cheaper. I've been eyeing the Korean led tails for awhile now.
Upgrade the look of your Kia Stinger with these new OEM LED taillights with built-in LED turn signal functionality, and separate your ride from all the other Stingers on the road. These are not aftermarket LED bulbs, but rather OEM LED circuit boards built into the factory OEM taillights. Sold...

Those are about 680. Which is way too much. I hate the stock US version tails so I may get the Korean ones because they kinda match the front turn signals with the grid pattern but at 680, that's still a shit ton of money imo for some tail lights.
