Wondering what they're indicating in some of the other images.Using Google translate, the caption says "More secure, more dynamic, and more comfortable".
Yeah, I'm interested too. I see that one of the pictures mentions N.V.H. which means they probably did something to dampen noise, vibration, and harshness to make a quieter cabin.Wondering what they're indicating in some of the other images.
Unless they plan on springing that news somewhere down the line. Looks like they're keeping the same engine options.I guess it's not looking good for any chance of a R spec variant...
I will share some comments. First off yes I am extremely exited that Biermann is part of the Kia family, and I actually had the honor of meeting him.
As far as weight savings that is on the works for the Stinger plataform, you probably won’t see the weight savings on all stinger models but most defenetely you will see it if/when they release the R-Spec version. This will be a main focus on the development side is to reduce weight. Now there are a lot of other things that can be done to improve handling, without having to reduce the weight. The GTR is a heavy car but if you drive it on the track you will be surprised of it's handling capabilities. Now granted the stinger is a grand touring car, so that is why the focus will be in developing the R spec version.
The 3.3T is an amazing engine well capable of a lot more HP. Kia was just extremely conservative on the HP outputs for reliability/longevity purposes. The increased HP will be a combination of upgraded performance parts. Can’t get to specifics, but can give you some hints. Improved intake system, exhaust, ecu tune , and very possible to get upgraded turbos.
The 2020 MY has been announced yesterday.

Thanks! Drive wise standard.. that would have been nice for 2018, imho. The 2020 MY has been announced yesterday.
No big change.
Most changes are specific to the Korean model, but here it is:

air purifying feature
View attachment 24167
auto tightening bolster when entering sport mode
View attachment 24168
red interior now available for 2.0L gasoline and 2.2L diesel
View attachment 24169
dynamic bending light feature (it was not available in korea)
View attachment 24170
drive wise package now standard

All of that is already over here. I didn't know that the Korean spec lacked these features. The 2020 MY has been announced yesterday.

I don't think you guys have the auto bolster feature. All of that is already over here. I didn't know that the Korean spec lacked these features.
The current American cars have the air purifying and auto-tightening bolster features? All of that is already over here. I didn't know that the Korean spec lacked these features.
I don't think so, also the red seats are not available for the smaller engines. The current American cars have the air purifying and auto-tightening bolster features?
Looks lile the driver side B pillar is still there, unfortunately.I see on Page 5 that the 2020 MY cars have deleted the B pillar, but only on the passenger side, that should take a chunk out of our GVWR!

And decrease cornering stability and increase noises because of imbalanced frame stresses.I see on Page 5 that the 2020 MY cars have deleted the B pillar, but only on the passenger side, that should take a chunk out of our GVWR!
