I had my wire harness checked Thursday. No wear. The grommet was put in. The car felt completely normal afterward.
I didn't wait for a letter. The build dates period (as I heard here on the forum) is September 17 through April 18 (iirc). Anyway, my Feb 18 build date (also) falls right in the middle. Yours needs looking at. During my latest oil change, I had them check it out. When (if) the letter finally arrives, it will be old news.I have not received any notification yet, I picked up my car December 15th 2018 prior to their campaign start for this recall. My build is Feb 2018, perhaps the letter is still yet to come.
That's what I did. No reason to take it in twice when once will do.Got my letter. Purchased in December of '17. Waiting another month or so in order to have it done with oil change, etc.
I'm pretty sure the harness in question is on the driver's side. Eh?Had the following done today, oh and no mention of my mods, jb4, borla or cut outs all which I know they saw. The wire harness is on passenger side next to the jb4View attachment 17821
With the oil change, tire flip and regular maintenance check, plus the wire harness check and grommet in, I was at the dealer for c. an hour and a half. They said, "Expect this to take up to two hours."Anyone waiting while this is being done? Taking long?
Thanks.

The dealer and Kia techs won’t get paid if you do it yourself. It’s all about the buck.I just did my own in 10 mins and took pictures. I figured i could show KIA no issue and the work is done but they said no! Oh well. Guess i can get to it in a year or two now.![]()
