I don't know what you guys think but the navigation screen really bothers me with that giant bezel on both side.

I've never been a fan of touchscreens just sticking up from the dash like that, but it does seem to be the way many manufacturers are moving so I guess there's not much to do about it. I assume for a setup like that it's just impossible to ever put an aftermarket head unit in?

Yep, black chrome. Not on all trims. Probably there for the same reason as the non-functional hood vents--just bling.

Do you happen to know which trims? They should stick that chrome on the base trims to incentivize people to upgrade. I was thinking of a base GT or GT1 but I'd probably upgrade to GT2 just to get rid of that. Hopefully though it's GT2 only you think?

I'm not sure--I'm sure it's on the GT2, but it might be all of the 6-cylinders. Actually, since I'm currently driving a car which has absolutely no chrome anywhere, which was a big-trendy-deal when I bought it two decades ago, I'm kind of looking forward to the change of being blinged out to the max, haha.

Yes, it will be chrome on the GT trims per Kia's website.

Visited Horne Kia in Gilbert, AZ. I took some pics. My wife who is 5'7" said she barely has 1" of head room in the rear. She did not like it, lol. I love the red interior, but fear it will only be available in the GT version and maybe only the highest trim GT.

I think it will be available in either 2.0T or 3.3TT but unfortunately, you are probably right. Probably only on the upper trims of both models. Nappa leather is usually softer and dyed to match a color scheme. Here's a bit more information.

A dealer in Charlotte NC learned today they will not carry the Stinger, only K900 dealerships will have it.

THanks for the link, good info! It is typically on Kia's higher, if not highest trim. I'll still hope they'll offer it as an option for the V4 base. I really was not expecting 5 trims of this Stinger; 3 trims tops. Kia is stretching these options out in general.

I agree but with manufacturers in general. Put 2 or 3 options out there and if someone want's more or less, let us custom order. But I wouldn't be one of the those to custom order. Takes too damn long!

The 2.0t is an i4. I think the only V4 being made is in Porsche's 919 hybrid Le Mans prototype. I would not object to getting that drivetrain in the Stinger though

Kentucky is finally on the board. Jake Sweeney Kia in Florence recieved their red on red Stinger this morning.

Ohio now has one also! Kings Kia in the Cincinnati area has this absolutely beautiful Deep Chroma Blue Stinger as of this morning.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's that simple. These Korean spec cars have it, so I think it's easy for a salesman to assume that it will be in the american spec car as well. I hope it is, and maybe he somehow knows for sure, but I don't think we can say the mystery is solved based on that comment.
