• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

Well done it sounds like either white or red and the wait is less.
I think so, maybe red and white are the most popular color in AUS. My first choose is Sunset yellow(Korean ver) which looks a bit more Dark and shining yellow, but when I saw the sunset yellow(AUS ver) I change my order to white immediately, AUS one is babble bee yellow, that’s totally different than Korean ver.

White is a safe colour, also white pearl is classy. But not as classy as Dcb lol

Chillgoon have you thought about fixing it yourself with a 4x4 tyre plug kit that you can buy in any good auto store. I had a similar problem with our Hyundai veloster couple of year back. Told wouldn’t fix because to close to the wall and some crap about the Law. No tyre is stock and. 2 week wait so I plugged it with my 4x4 repair kit and it work perfectly. Tyre took 3 weeks to arrive and when I went back to get new tyre they stated some crap about never seeing that before. At one stage I had 4 plus in our 4x4 tyre and one was in the side wall and don’t forget about an inner tube. These are just some ideas so you don’t have to use your spare for 4 weeks.

So, bad news - the won't fix the puncture, too close to the wall and I had two guys look at it, Fine, need to get a new tyre, NOT FINE, none in stock anywhere for the specific tyre we run, hope to get one just before christmas....

Jeez. They need to get on the ball with stocking these tires. That's crazy...

Hi everyone, new here, ordered Snow White GT with red Napa September , been told the car will ready to pick up this weekend, finally the wait is over. Great forum!

Welcome aboard, @STG GT! Thank you for signing up. And congratulations on your Stinger! I hope it arrives quickly...

I am not really all that good with doing things like that.., do you need to take the tyre off the rim or do you fix that from the outside? I still have my really old Golf so was going to be driving that most of the time, I don't want to then puncture another tyre and really be stuffed....

That sounds pretty gruesome, so no otherway around it? No other brands?

They had other brands, but I am not keen to have one odd tyre on there. I could keep trying other dealers and see if they might fix it, even as a temporary... also could try and plug it myself as suggested

Hi Chillgoon. No you don’t take the tyre off the rim. You just bore out the hole a little the push the plug through the hole with the tool. It’s like a very large sewing needle. The you pull it back out and the plug fills the hole. There would be tons of videos on YouTube on how to do it. It’s not hard mate.

Cheers Richard - I am definitely going to try it then - absolutely nothing to lose!

Somebody please correct me if my numbers are wrong but if correct we should all be buying our top spec V6 Stingers in Canada.

These are the RRP/MSRP $ before additional on road charges

Australia GT = $59,990 AUD

New Zealand GT Sport = NZD $69,990 = $63,250 AUD

USA GT2 = USD $49,500 = $65,445 AUD

Canada GT Limited = CAD $49,995 = $51,655 AUD

However it is nice to be cheaper than the States for a change!

Isn't the GT Limited the 2L version?

Are the others drive away pricing?

You know 59,990k is not drive away.. Add another 5k.......

If you do it just take it easy driving it until you can get a new tire. Nothing to lose might not be entirely accurate. Catastrophic failure at speed is a possibility. (This is why tire shop won't plug it for you) the chances are pretty low as long as you do a good job, but it it fails and you're doing 80 mph, might cause a wreck, or might shred the tire and tear up the wheel well.

Try BMW Audi and Merc dealers , this is a common tire size for many of their cars , I know BMW use run flats but they may have a used tire that is compatible , the plug idea may work but a real tire would give you peace of mind . Hard to believe Kia cant rush a tire from Michelin !!!
