Bad Avoid Importshark

sorry to say, I had a horrid experience as well.

bought a badge and was sent a wrong one from the one I ordered.

contacted Mike to discuss for a solution and long story short, I couldnt get any assurance of a proper refund or return for the wrongly sent item despite a couple of weeks of going back and forth.

eventually gave up waiting for a resolution, and filed a claim and then got all sorts of ridiculous and unprofessional responses to my claim, offering an unrealistic partial refund, rude language etc.

thankfully I got my claim resolved properly by the platform provider and in a a few days (after waiting for weeks to reach an agreement with Mike) which tells you all about the importance and focus these guys place on their customers and service recovery.

Anyway just sharing here for the benefit of other potential buyers, especially when the overall pricing of the products are not exactly cheap, you would at least expect decent customer service.

Im surprised at this considering Mike has had communication from the members about his handling of customers. I thought he had changed. There is always two sides to a story so maybe Mike can add his two cents as well.

I would like to see some sort of proof here since this sounds completely bogus. What's your Order #?

oh yes... pretty sure you want to dispute everything as you are always 'right'.

For what it’s worth, I ordered a few things from ImportShark, Sal, K8 and Tuscani... they have all been great. Parts arrived when expected, as expected.

yes I have had good experiences with Sal.

I expected a simple deal for a badge, I mean how wrong can that go?

Unfortunately, it all went downhill when the wrong badge was shipped and Mike with his after sales service.

Umm, that's a local reseller, not me. (Wrong company). There are multiple vendors who sell those emblems. If you had an issue you could email me and I can see what I can do.
 
@benoit can you confirm if your purchase was actually with ImportShark?

yes... while he claims it is a local reseller, the registered email for that eBay seller is to Mike's email as well.

Hopefully this isn't Import Shark. I think having aliases and lying about them to defend your bad business practices should be a banable offense. That is absolutely unethical.

At this point there is sufficient info that you felt you were dealing with ImportShark. If it’s a fraudulent account that’s one thing; if it’s not, that’s another.

I believe PayPal and eBay do verify the registered email address for sellers, so I doubt it is easy for a reseller to pass off as ImportShark or using Mike's email.

anyway, I will leave it to Mike if he insists and can prove otherwise to do what you mentioned, as I had already raised my issues with eBay and paypal previously.

That isn't how PayPal works. Even if someone decided to use another persons email address PayPal would still send their payment information to the email located on eBay's page. And that email, page, and PayPal should all be link to that person's bank account or card.

In other words even if someone is using his email address to pretend to be him he would still be receiving correspondence and monies from those customers.

PayPal and eBay are setup that way specifically to avoid the type of fraud that Mike is alleging took place.

Doesn't look good - especially after the claim that it's 'not me'. Very interested to hear what @ImportSharkMike has to say in response to this.
