Forgot to say yesterday that while talking to the boss dealer he stated that he heard that the bimodal exhaust may be delayed do to fuel consumption numbers. He said if Kia has stated a certain number of litres per Km and that is not what you get with a Kia add on exhaust there could be a lot of complaints. He was not sure if this was the main reason why they are not ready yet.

Interesting call that, fuel consumption to me is alwsys a factor. I thought for an 1800kg car the fuel stats were impressive. I might have to re-think the exhaust if that proves to be factual. Cheers.

Personally, I don’t care about the fuel consumption. I really want the sound and as it will have two Hot Dog mufflers replacing 2 of the standard ones it will have to produce more power when diverted through.
If fuel consumption is an issue, then it can be switched off or not installed at all and keep it original.
If they introduce it and can’t get the stated consumption then they should sell it with revised figures, I’m sure most will still want it.
I’m expecting it in December so my dealer has booked it for the first installation available.

Quite to the contrary, when i saw 10.2 k per 100 i was impressed. When you compare the commodore ss redline at a supposed 12.9 per 100. And you factor all the stinger benefits. To me its the whole package and fuel consumption ticks that box to.

I think want my dealer was saying about the bimodal exhaust is Kia don’t want a possible situation like VW where owners would try and get compensation for false advertising. This would only effect Australia because we are the only lucky barstards to be getting a factory guaranteed bimodal exhaust system. I,m like the rest of you as fuel consumption will the last thing I’ll be worrying about when I’m having lots of fun out there, but we all know how many dick heads there are there looking to cash in on anything. I must also say that he stated he could be completely wrong and that this may have nothing to do with the delay of the exhaust.

View attachment 687 Had a fantastic afternoon visiting my GT today. Went for a nice long test drive and the power in this thing is outstanding. Having ceramic paint protection and leather protection done as my dealer has a special on at present we’re the cost is $1900 for protection package with lifetime warranty and you can have either $300 for kia accessories of window tinting so opted for the tint and then they said they throw in the Matt’s when they are available. Also prepaid for the bimodal exhaust and the tow package. Car should be ready by Friday. Plus really happy with the red leather and the DCB paint job. I think the red really goes well with the blue.

Is that GOLD trim?????

E Bay but I see a few sites now have stinger k badges which should fit the wheel centres as well. I got a set for the optima a couple of months ago.

Spent the week hitting refresh on the ticketek website tying to get P!NK tickets.....see above image of me online.

Don't get me started on my car - ordered on the same date as a number of others who have their car already but not in Oz til 3rd week of November....I can't understand why and just get a shrug of the shoulders. Anyway, its just as well as I need to save up/sell a kidney as a) trade in was worth &%$# all and b) NO @*$#ing FLEET pricing....

Whatever - tired and emotional tonight. Well done to all those who have their cars already.

Seriously though my mother got sick and died last night so I got a little distracted but I'm back.

Thanks mate, she's been sick for a while so no real shock - supporting my Dad as they've been together 55+ years

On the good news front I DID get Pink tickets for next July - maybe she can bring my car with her?
