How to remove and replace the rear badge on the Kia Stinger

That looks really sharp. If I didn't already do a rebadging, it'd be highly considered. I still need to cover up that steering wheel badge.

Hey , ive looked everywhere for a steering wheel badge & cant find one. I would prefer the “E” logo ofcourse!! Can u advise were u will be ordering yours from!?:thumbup:

Hey Sal....any update on the hood vintage K emblem?? Im waiting for it before i do my complete rebadging project!!
Yeah, they should have been ready a couple of weeks ago. Then about now. Now they've decided to make several variations in color - so it's another two weeks before they'll be ready. I'm pretty anxious myself because I'm very fond of their products...

I'm having someone do my badge change on the rear & the R at the end of Stinger isn't sticking properly. Not sure if there wasn't enough adhesive, or what. Any suggestions? Stinger 2.webp Stinger 1.webp

Maybe tape it down after applying some heat from a hair dryer. Don’t let the paint get hot though just enough to warm it then push it flat and whack on the tape. Use a painters tape then it will come off easy.

I did mine & I’m in Sydney....:whistle:

Happy to pay if you want to do another
Thanks for the offer, but I’m no expert, I suggest you ask your dealer, they may have a body shop they can but you onto.

Thanks stinger GT and me for Kia badge removal, and replacing it with the stinger emblem. The dealer wanted $1400 for the stinger emblem E badge hubcaps and a badge for the front end. The reason they gave for it being so expensive was that they had to fill in the indentation on the Kia badge on the rear , fillet , Paint it. They did not realize it was flat . Ordered the Stinger badge and GT badge which I will move over to the left side. For a whopping total of 45 bucks now there's a hell of a savings Keep up the good work thinking about doing the consul. Where did you order the console from. The GT badge will be opposite the AWD badge .

You can have the dealer do this? Do you just provide the parts and pay labor? Has anyone else paid the dealer to do this?

My reco is ....DONT ask the dealer to do this , get it done at a body shop if you arent comfortable doing it yourself . Body shops do this type of thing all the time and wont make a mess of your car !!

Thanks a lot. Out of curiosity, what would be a reasonable price to get the large stinger emblem on the back put on on and the kia symbol on the front replaced? Just a ballpark.

@westcoastGT
respectfully, I like to disagree: My dealership sent the car to an associated "KIA HO approved" body shop, who promptly screwed it up. The shop had to refinish the rear and the dealer wanted $500 from me.
After I sent him a link to the video he agreed "to eat the charge" (his words). The KIA emblem got also damaged in the process.
The only good thing that came out of this episode is that there are now no holes to be covered. :)

The lesson: do it yourself, very carefully.

I agree about DIY , the key issue in having the body shop do the re and re is " Show them that the rear STINGER badge is designed to cover the 2 holes left in the trunk after ther KIA oval is removed ..................also I would like to suggest NEVER use a heat gun for emblem removal , a hair dryer provides move than enough heat to loosen the adhesive and 20lb fishing line , using a sawing motion i, s all thats required to get the emblems off . :thumbup:
