Texas Stinger Swarm
Very nice.
Hey ! , youre the first member to do this ! Looks really good , nice option , how is the fit with the curve of the badge vs the hatch surface ?
I really think the method was the key issue not paint or body material ."Sawing" the badge off with fishing line cuts the adhesive between the body and the badge , you have to resist the urge to lift the badge until its completely "cut" , especially on large badges.Sounds like we had the same problem so I know it wasn't the color. I suspected that or the fact it was plastic underneath. Hope it works out with some touchup paint.
I'm betting the pins had to be cut off ( note its not quite straight ) sorry !The curve is the same and not really an issue with this swap. What really interests me is how easy it was to cover the holes with the emblem or if the pins that the emblem has lines up with the holes on the hatch.
You must cut all pins off. Close the holes with silikon and add some more to glue the badge.

When you remove the small Stinger on the rear, there aren't any holes, right? I won't be getting AWD, so what @Aquadog did wouldn't work for me. I definitely want the large Stinger across the back tho. I don't think I mind the unbalanced look of only the GT on the back, but want to make sure I don't need to put something there. Or, does anyone have suggestions of what else to put on the back for a RWD GT? Thanks!
Many thanks to @Tazztattoo for this set of instructions...

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. If you're talking about the foam piece that surrounds the "Stinger" rear badge - it comes with your purchase...Where can I find a stencil to use for installation?
Thanks,
Jason
Gotcha. Thanks.Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. If you're talking about the foam piece that surrounds the "Stinger" rear badge - it comes with your purchase...
Hmm. It doesn't look too bad. If it's sticky like the rest of the badge - it should be okay. It doesn't "appear" to be an issue - to the eye...Gotcha. Thanks.
Another question: I just received my rear emblem today from overseas, and the badge was not stuck to the yellow-ish paper as I expected it would be. Rather, the badge was wrapped in plastic, and part of the adhesive was exposed (see below)!Should I get a replacement badge or do you think this will work, perhaps with some additional adhesive/glue? I most certainly do not want the badge peeling off of my car in 18 months when I go through a car wash...
Thanks again,
Jason

Yes, mine are in good condition. It's been hell stocking these badges since Kia doesn't want anyone to have them anymore. My new shipment arrives tomorrow or Wednesday the latest. I'll ship it the same day it arrives. I don't waste any time...It's a little bowed too, and I'm thinking of just biting the bullet and getting a fresh one for peace of mind...I assume the ones you sell are non-bent and fully adhered to the yellow backing? I see from your webpage that they are on backorder...what would be the ETA if I order today?
I see your order. Thank you, sir. It'll be out immediately after received...Ordered.
