Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

What map are you using?

Map 1, I Have not tried map 2. I may try map 2 just to see if it breaks up a little bit. If so I'm going to tighten the gaps on the plugs just a little bit and see if it still breaks up.

I'm running 91 now, but not tuned. You can tell a difference in how the engine runs overall between 87 and 91.

I've also got access to not only 93, but 100% gas 93 as well, so I plan on going through this tank and texting some this weekend.

I wonder if some stingers were shipped with bad plugs? I have around 15 WOT runs logged with jb4. No issues to report.

I was wondering the same thing and at the same time I have heard nothing but good things about RaceChip. Sure it's more expensive but I would pay a little more to have it not blow up on me.

Oh and to be fair the JB4 is in beta while the RaceChip is a final product. So I made an unfair comparison.

Theres one other guy on the other Stinger site that said he hasn't had any issues in 70 or so miles. I asked him if he could keep us all updated on this thread.

No issues, and ive driven 207mi so far. Sport mode has been just amazing, oh and im completely stock otherwise, intake is gonna take a while lol

Great to hear! I'm hoping there are just some isolated bugs that need to be worked out in the beta phase.

Thats what im hoping too, oh and I only use 91 octane, highest available to me, just a little heads up

Case in point, we bought a 2018 Sedona the same day as the Stinger, and it was hit doing $5000 of damages with only 53 miles on it...

Does anyone know if torque helps to keep yrack of the sensors or anything on the stinger?

I've had my jb4 on for probably close to 400 miles now, I keep it on map 1 and I have not had a single issue at all. Almost every green light and stop sign is WOT for me and I drove for 150 miles twice on the highway (75-100 mph). I had a check engine light one time on the highway BEFORE I put this on my stinger and I haven't had an issue since.

It may still just be a mix of octane used vs map setting vs plug gap not matching increased boost. Or some combination of those factors.

And ouch man I’m really sorry to hear that! But silver lining it could have been worse and was the Stinger instead

Right or even worse someone could have been injured.
