Same „issue“ for me with the stage2 TCU Tune. Shifting pattern is off. Reached out to Nathan and he will fix it.Hello from Australia, I purchased the EK1 lite and found no files for my ECU and TCU ID, I have submitted a ticket chasing an ECU and TCU tune.
TCU has been supplied though I am still waiting for a response about the ECU tune.
Stage 2 TCU tune, Increased shifting pressure, Reduced RPM for Shifting at WOT (Short Shift). I have uploaded this file into my car (device said the upload was successful) but found it shifts at 6500+ between gears and feels the same as stock. I don't have the ECU tune yet but was wondering if I needed the ECU tune to see the difference with the TCU tune or does the car need to learn the TCU tune? I loaded it up and have only gone for one quick drive.
I am still waiting for an ECU tune, I am running on Australian 98 RON pump gas (believe this is the same as USA 93), I also have access to E85. Being new to the tuning seen would you recommend running some E85 to help get a little more out of the tune or am I lacking the mods to be adding some E85.
Mods, HK M45iL spark plugs AME Intakes Duel custom 2/12" Racecraft exhaust, Secondary cat delete. this system also has a Racecraft electronic exhaust, Open is full flow with no restriction and closed sends the exhaust flow through the mufflers.
Would the stage 2+pop be viable with my setup running 98 RON + E30?, the Stage 2 ECU tune info: Requires 93 oct, fuel + E30 or Methanol, Intake target boost: 20PSI flat Target Ignition: 18-20 deg pops in Sport mode 470hp/510tq.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the reply, I don’t have a JB4. I assume that tune listed is a BEF. I am after a full tune. My ticket was for a ECU then added in a TCU time as well. Just waiting for the ECU Tune. Anyone know how long the wait times are?Same „issue“ for me with the stage2 TCU Tune. Shifting pattern is off. Reached out to Nathan and he will fix it.
Ask him for tunes. He will upload them for your ID.
Support at SXTH is awesome!
To make it clear: a BEF is only usefull with a jb4 (o.e.)
Otherwise you need a full tune.
GaugeOk have my tune from SXTHNK, anyone know how to log with the EK1lite?
Thank you Sxthnk helped me set it up,Gauge
Data Logging
I think it was
Is this WOT? I only see like 85% max throttle and 1.1 bar boost.Thank you Sxthnk helped me set it up,
its throttle position percentage... hes wide open throttle. Is this WOT? I only see like 85% max throttle and 1.1 bar boost.
Yes it is which is very strange, was definitely flat to the floor and felt it push the kick down switch down flat. I did two logs WOT in 3rd gear and they both show the same 85% max throttle. With my mods I would over boost on the stock Ecu but now I have uploaded this tune the boost is down. Not sure what is going on. I have sent them through to Sxthnk for review and hopefully some answers. I will search the net for anyone else with a throttle issue in The stinger. Is this WOT? pretty sure you can only select 12 to log, but make sure you have all 6 ign values added to you data logsThank you Sxthnk helped me set it up
Thanks for the reply good to know.its throttle position percentage... hes wide open throttle.
did sxth tell you to select those specific 12 parameters? prolly trying to see if your wastegates out of wack causing you to overboostYes it is which is very strange, was definitely flat to the floor and felt it push the kick down switch down flat. Yes Ryan at Sxth asked me to select those for the logs. I never told him about the overboost, I put it down to the mods on a stock ecu as I have seen a few post the same issue so never thought to mention it. They have been very helpful walking me through how to log and so on.did sxth tell you to select those specific 12 parameters? prolly trying to see if your wastegates out of wack causing you to overboost
ryans the man hes the one i requested do my tune!Yes Ryan at Sxth asked me to select those for the logs. Once this tune is sorted I will have him check the TCU tune they supplied Stage 2 short shift but those logs and in car show it’s still shifting at 6500
Howdy. Forte 1.6T driver here. I just received my EK1 pro recently and I'm here looking for help. Forte forums are not very active.
Long story short, I went to update the firmware as instructed from SXTHNK so I could read my ECU ID. The firmware update messed up the UI of the EK1. All the images are jumbled. Nathan provided me with a .exe tool to correct the issue, but I'm having a hard time getting the tool to recognize that the EK1 is connected to my PC. I hear the chime when I connect it, and I can navigate to "Connect to PC" on the EK1. But when I run the program it says it doesn't recognize the connection.
Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance.
is the update out yet? I only see 1.14 posted. Also a nice new feature in 1.20 firmware![]()
You have to download the EK1 PC update program under Device Update and than you have to connect your EK1 via USB Type-B to your Pc.is the update out yet? I only see 1.14 posted.
