EK1Pro Tune - Sixth Element

There are options for factory LC or boost LC. I would suggest you to go for factory LC + brake boost harness if you seeking for 0-60 time. TCU LC is never as consistent as brake snip LC anyway. Auto shift at just a touch below 6000 which is good for all tunes. Line pressure is adjusted for sure and you can feel it shifts quicker pretty obvious. The biggest advantage of SXTH TCU comparing with LOZIC one for me is it feels stock for daily driving, in a good way. My LOZIC tcu just feels jerky, it kicks my back for downshift/upshift.
Have you been able to compare 1/4 mile times between the Lozic and sxth tcu tunes? If so, have you noticed any difference, and whether one is faster than the other?

The reason I ask is that I recently switched from a Lozic tcu tune to sxth because of the same issues you're having (jerky shifts while daily driving), but I have a suspicion it won't be as quick at wot due to the shifts feeling lazier at wot compared to Lozic's (at least on my tune).

What options did you have for Lozic that made it jerky in daily driving?

I have the order form right now and was thinking -8% pressure 2. Like everyone else it seems on this thread.

For me the biggest issue was the 2-1 down shift coming to a stop. I selected the option for a smooth 2-1 down shift, but it's anything but. Granted, I picked -8% pressure 3, but I think it's an issue overall with the tune based on what I've read from other people who have it.

On a more positive note though, upshifts are crazy fast at wot, and automatically at 5900 rpm, which is really nice for quarter mile runs since I don't have to babysit the tachometer to paddleshift.

I thought this setting would help with that. Maybe it’s the Sport + option?

Unless you didn’t set that.

Does the TCU ID on my car have to match the new trans tune file you are purchasing from SXTH or can you just purchase any stinger 8 speed trans tune and load it?

Thanks for any help giving.
They will automatically match the compatible ones on the website once you put the correct ID in :)

Yes.. I have learned a lot in 24 hrs. Initially after putting my info on SXTH web page I only had access to 3 files and no TCU files (my info I entered was Incorrect).
I have been searching, reaching out to our group, reaching out to vendors etc to try to figure out what was wrong. To be honest, there need to be an updated page on SXTH web site that will address all of these newer problems people encounter. Nathan explained that he will be working on this but his workload is pretty high.

When I got my EK1 LITE, I downloaded some files as I was instructed to but it wasn't clear cut as to what to do to get the files into the car. I tried doing what the instructions said to do but the EK1was not having it.
The issue was the SD card and creating the folders inside the SD card so the EK1 Lite could find the files and read it.
The next problem was getting info on updating the trans files with a new tune. Nathan from SXTH explained this as well and some of these simple explanations should be added to their web page asap.
I can see this possibly causing problems with the newer croud of tuners and possibly bricking ECU/TCUs if it's not done correctly.

Nathan may not have a tune for every ID, depends if he was asked for it in the past, if so it will show up in your list. If not, send him a message, he will get to it eventually, or if he determines it is equivalent to another ID, he may have you flash a new boot record which changes your computer to the already supported ID.

Cudos to Nathan and SXTH!

I run JB4 so I can have different power settings and together with a BEF file. Its good in winter to take of power, for wife and with higher Maps for myself.

Great work at both Burger with Terry and SXTH with Nathan and Ryan! I can really recommend these guys. I lot of difference how to get in touch with them and always fast replies with maximum knowledge. Not what I have seen from other vendors.

I have had issues with different things but they solved it all. I now run full E85 (measures E78) and good to not need to do blends. It really do difference to run higher timing, especially over 4000 rpm. Another good thing with both higher timing and E78 is that exhaust temp go down a lot and helps a lot at higher revs. Experience from dynos say that its possible to run up to 10 degrees more timing with E85 compared to yours 93 (and similar to our 98 we have here in Sweden). Makes a more crisp engine with great response.

Now I run stock DPs now, before I had 2½" with 200 cells but hard for the yearly inspections, always a tad over. I think as exhaust is so much cooler now, probably 200 degrees C there is less needs for that.

I also have SXTH´s TCU tune with some added pressure, also works as near stock when driving normal and a bit more firm when on WOT, just like it should be. If we go higher here in pressure it will also affect normal driving ans can also slower shifts (even if it fells more firm) as torque needs to to down to a certain level to do the shift. Try it, you will like it!

I have also put on Burger and Terrys diff brace, also works very good, you can feel its more firm at shifts and also at trottle let offs. BMS Differential Brace for 2018-Present 3.3L Kia Stinger & Genesis G70

Now it feels great with the Stinger! Fast, firm, nice and for 1/3 of a Panamera Turbo price.

Howdy. Forte 1.6T driver here. I just received my EK1 pro recently and I'm here looking for help. Forte forums are not very active.

Long story short, I went to update the firmware as instructed from SXTHNK so I could read my ECU ID. The firmware update messed up the UI of the EK1. All the images are jumbled. Nathan provided me with a .exe tool to correct the issue, but I'm having a hard time getting the tool to recognize that the EK1 is connected to my PC. I hear the chime when I connect it, and I can navigate to "Connect to PC" on the EK1. But when I run the program it says it doesn't recognize the connection.

Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance.

I only got the EK1 Lite and the new 1.2 firmware isnt available yet but have you tried downgrading to the older firmware?

I think that's what the . exe tool I have is supposed to do. But if I could find an old copy of the old firmware I could probably navigate to that option and give it a try.

How can I connect nathan@sxth? I patch my ecu but no files available on the website

Hello from Australia, I purchased the EK1 lite and found no files for my ECU and TCU ID, I have submitted a ticket chasing an ECU and TCU tune.

TCU has been supplied though I am still waiting for a response about the ECU tune.

Stage 2 TCU tune, Increased shifting pressure, Reduced RPM for Shifting at WOT (Short Shift). I have uploaded this file into my car (device said the upload was successful) but found it shifts at 6500+ between gears and feels the same as stock. I don't have the ECU tune yet but was wondering if I needed the ECU tune to see the difference with the TCU tune or does the car need to learn the TCU tune? I loaded it up and have only gone for one quick drive.

I am still waiting for an ECU tune, I am running on Australian 98 RON pump gas (believe this is the same as USA 93), I also have access to E85. Being new to the tuning seen would you recommend running some E85 to help get a little more out of the tune or am I lacking the mods to be adding some E85.

Mods, HK M45iL spark plugs AME Intakes Duel custom 2/12" Racecraft exhaust, Secondary cat delete. this system also has a Racecraft electronic exhaust, Open is full flow with no restriction and closed sends the exhaust flow through the mufflers.

Would the stage 2+pop be viable with my setup running 98 RON + E30?, the Stage 2 ECU tune info: Requires 93 oct, fuel + E30 or Methanol, Intake target boost: 20PSI flat Target Ignition: 18-20 deg pops in Sport mode 470hp/510tq.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
