Not sure the brand, but it is a 5 minute epoxy I got from Ace. I don't recall the kind I got last time, but it was also an epoxy. If this doesn't hold I'm going to switch to a fastener.
I let mine cure overnight before putting the cover back in. I know, 'five minute' epoxy. that's just to set. are you closing your cover over anything that sits higher than the hinge points? that's how I broke mine the first time.
lol. exactly that is what took my hinge off. ever since I just let the cover dangle on the strings and leave the hinges out of the sockets when carrying coolers..
Ay bro I have nothing to say lol. One of my buddies sent me that pic as well . So glad I got rid of it when I did. I did all I could. His problem now. Still stock besides the intakes and exhaust. That stinger is the definition of problems on top of problems.
So today I finalized an experiment for my stinger.
I wanted to install these LED neon strip as a 3rd stop light but could not find anything on the internet suitable for me.
I saw a video on YouTube of a guy installing a top spoiler with a very neat LED neon line but the light is discontinued on Ebay.
So I decided to make it myself using the easiest elements on the market, a red neon strip, a can of black paint for outdoor and..... a bathroom door seal
I ordered also the top spoiler from ebay and started to combined the elements and you can see the pictures attached, I think it looks pretty good and I'll install it on the car soon, only mistake I did it that the cable I use is a bit tick but I wanted to be sure it doesn't get damaged with time so I'll find a way to make it fit.
Good thing with this kind of LED neon strip, they work on 12V, so the adaptater is not required as it can tap directly on the plug of the existing 3rd light.
Also attached are the main component of this experiment to see where it started.
Will share some picture once it will be installed later
What did I do to my brand new Stinger? Well, I left it well alone because I read about the people who have bought them, modified them, then come in here and say, "my Stinger is blown up what should I do"
Well leave well alone. The factory designed the ultimate car for you and if you want to stuff around with it then complainn it's broke well good for you. Bwaa ha ha ha ha ha

What amazes me about these forums is they are taking a fairly new car and determining how much better they are than the people who made it. It's a national past time in the USA to put different springs on it, reem it out.....
Dude! That's awesome you're gonna leave your car stock! Nobody cares....
if building your car is not your thing great, but why bash all that do? Not enough hugs in your younger years? Jealous that people are building theirs? Please do tell why you feel the need to bash what people are doing?

I'm curious of this as well. I literally never owned a car that I didn't do something to. Why be on this site at all as it's generally the type of thing car enthusiasts would be into? And my car is basically stock engine wise. It's my daily so I need it to be reliable, as it's been the entire time I've owned it basically. I also hold onto my cars for awhile so I'm probably not gonna throw on a jb4 until I'm out of warranty, which is either 7 years or 81k, so still a very long time. Doesn't mean I don't wanna change up the look, upgrade things or add performance parts, like maybe an mrbp exhaust which I know shouldn't cause issues.
Cars are a hobby to many, maybe not to you. If my Stinger wasn't my daily, I'd definitely have more mods. Just like my 01 Lightning, I can take stuff apart, change it up modify it more as I don't need to depend on it to get to work on a daily basis. I can appreciate both stock and modded cars. I think the world would be a boring place if everybody left everything stock all the time.
My understanding is that when a manufacturer designs a car, they do it to what the majority of the target audience wants. Often, the target audience is not necessarily the modding or enthusiast communities, but rather your average Joe or Jane.
Case in point: the NA brake pad issue. In all likelihood some focus group told Kia/Hyundai that they hated brake dust, so they went with the sh*tty stock brake pads we all have grown to loathe, because less dust... Nevermind the pulsation issue; Kia could charge for that work in some cases. There are those out there (like myself) who couldn't care less about brake dust but just wanted a good pad... So Aftermarket it is.
For other mods it's a risk/reward situation. What are the odds that a catch can, properly installed maintained, will destroy the engine? How much easier does it make installed cleaning? How much of a chance that the intake snorkel(s) damage things vs the power increase? Ditto on an intake? Some more wild mods may have more risk, but there are some out there which make a car better than stock from the driver's perspective that have negligible or belly low risk. Plus, here in the states Magnusson/Moss is a thing.
Besides, I paid $50k+ for my ride; I want to customize her and make her mine
But of course, you do you. If you want to keep her stock then great!
