What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Does it follow lines ok, as it looks abit baggy in area's.
I promise is not baggy at all might be my terrible photography skills lol. The Velcro straps are adjustable so it can be tightened. It's not a universal part it's made for the stinger. Here is a better pic.

Just ordered one of these. For the price, I’ll give it a try

At normal angles, is that seam just bellow the stitching visible?
Would think they would have done the stitching over the seam to hide it

Unfortunately yes and I agree it would have looked better that way, but it doesn't bother me.

Nothing directly to my Stinger, but played around in photoshop and made a wallpaper out of her.

Been catching up on lots of little details.

Carbon ‘22 diffuser, bronze powder for the tips and some gold badging all around.

Still have to get the little hood trim pieces plated and figure out a solution to color the grill hexes gold as well.

I can't see the real exhaust pipes inside your exhaust tips - is it just because of the sun's angle or did you so something to the real exhaust pipes?
Lots of exposure from sun. That’s why the badges look black.

No photos, but I changed the transmission fluid on Saturday, Just crossed 50K miles. 15K of the last which having a Tuned TCU, and most of the fluid came out looking like chocolate milk. I ran a magnet through all the fluid and not a single spec of metal flake. Put the new fluid in and the car shifts like butter now. Even the hard shifts from 2-1 on deceleration that stingers are pretty known for is gone, which makes me think my transmission was half a quart low, because when I drained it, I was half a quart lower than expected, so I put that half quart in when I filled it.
I also swapped to low pressure hood struts because my carbon hood was riding too high on the factory ones and shaking at higher speeds. Not only is the fitment better now, the shaking is much less so. Its still noticeable, but not nearly as much. I think sticking a magnet on the inside of the hood and on the engine cover should solve it completely.
I also got around to finally actually installing 3/4ths of the undergrow kit that I have been sitting on since February, with the front not getting installed because I am waiting to hear back about my front skid guard getting warrantied.

Let me tell you, having electric jacks makes a world of difference working on the underside of the car, holy hell. No more tiny jack stands for me.

Hows the hood shaking? Side to side or is it flex in the middle from airflow? I know mine has a small bounce/flex that drives me nuts but it shows up more in "dirty" air. If no cars directly in front or on my front corner its super minimal. Of course 2 different hood styles too.

Flex in the middle, to be honest, I haven't actually paid attention enough to see if it happens from dirty air behind a car or when Im wide open, I will pay closer attention to it. I can usually recreate it while at higher speeds, which I typically don't do with people in front of me, so I guess that would be a decent indication. What hood do you have? mine is the Twin triple vent style CF hood.

SBGT Strictly Business. I will say since i put my my VT snokels on i get a lil more bounce. 1 is just throwing air in to the open under the hood, no filter there. 2.0 problems... Ha!

I could 3D print you a stopper that you could install in the side with no actual intake on it if you want, that way the air doesn't go into the hood. All I need is pictures to make sure the inside piece is the same as on the 3.3's.

Well, after many (many) weeks of waiting, my JUN B.L down pipes finally arrived.

All things considered the shipping container was in decent shape. Only one split corner.

Now I just need to find the time to rent some time at the local rent-a-lift place so I can install these and the Eibach sway bars…

I’m also not quite sure at what point I need to install the EWG wires for the JB4. I’m only running Map 1 @ 92 Octane, so I do t know that it’s really needed just yet… but part of me would like to think I’m getting the absolute best out of the JB4 even at that very modest curve…
