What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

No photos, but I changed the transmission fluid on Saturday, Just crossed 50K miles. 15K of the last which having a Tuned TCU, and most of the fluid came out looking like chocolate milk. I ran a magnet through all the fluid and not a single spec of metal flake. Put the new fluid in and the car shifts like butter now. Even the hard shifts from 2-1 on deceleration that stingers are pretty known for is gone, which makes me think my transmission was half a quart low, because when I drained it, I was half a quart lower than expected, so I put that half quart in when I filled it.
I also swapped to low pressure hood struts because my carbon hood was riding too high on the factory ones and shaking at higher speeds. Not only is the fitment better now, the shaking is much less so. Its still noticeable, but not nearly as much. I think sticking a magnet on the inside of the hood and on the engine cover should solve it completely.
I also got around to finally actually installing 3/4ths of the undergrow kit that I have been sitting on since February, with the front not getting installed because I am waiting to hear back about my front skid guard getting warrantied.

Let me tell you, having electric jacks makes a world of difference working on the underside of the car, holy hell. No more tiny jack stands for me.
Sounds like you treated her very well indeed!

Which electric jacks did you get?

Well, after many (many) weeks of waiting, my JUN B.L down pipes finally arrived.

All things considered the shipping container was in decent shape. Only one split corner.

Now I just need to find the time to rent some time at the local rent-a-lift place so I can install these and the Eibach sway bars…

I’m also not quite sure at what point I need to install the EWG wires for the JB4. I’m only running Map 1 @ 92 Octane, so I do t know that it’s really needed just yet… but part of me would like to think I’m getting the absolute best out of the JB4 even at that very modest curve…
If you get overboost, you will need ewg wires.

Newbie question -- how do we tell if we're getting overboost? (And how do we define 'over'?)

Here's a chart of the log I captured at Map 1... did a quick run up the freeway and back. Seems like I'm hitting a "wall" at 25.5 AFR (isn't that Air/Fuel Ratio?), but I don't know if that's "overboost" or just the limitations of my current system. That the 25.5 "cap" is a hard shelf feels more like an electronic limiter than an analog / hardware limit. (Edit: Putting my thinking cap on, AFR decreasing when boost pressure increases would seem to imply that the mix is 25.5:1 (is that Fuel : Air ?) and then drops as more air pressure is packed in by the turbo. So that's not a "wall" that's just "business as usual" measured at ~1 atmosphere).

Max 'Boost' value measured was 15.8 overall.

But I don't really know what these numbers actually mean quite yet. I would love some help interpreting. (Apologies if this is the wrong thread for this -- we can take it to one of the tuning sections).

Overboost means the computer puts the car in limp mode and likely sets a code. You will know.
The '22's seemed more prone to this (some even without mods), but open secondaries may cause it, especially primaries and secondaries. unless you have a JB4 with fuel wires and set some parameters.
An engine restart will clear limp mode until it happens again.
Another side effect with open primary and secondary pipes is that the turbo seals may start to pass more oil and cause oil burning.

Gotcha! Well, I don’t have plans to open / change my primaries, just my secondary downpipes (and maybe, someday the catback), so hopefully that won’t invite any crazy issues. I do have fuel wires installed already.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Culmination of different parts since I got the car 3+ years ago, very happy with the interior appearance now (Would prefer the alcantara dash panel but it’s $600…)

Today I surgically slapped on the red cf window switch overlays.

Other pieces I’ve done include the red cf shifter and red cf radio bezel from G4werkz, red cf paddle extensions, 22’ logo airbag and the alcantara armrest.
Where did you get the overlay red piece for the front dash screen and the red door overlays? Looks good

Good friend to have! Wish I had a friend like that around here. My best bet is dropping $45/hr to rent a bay with a lift from Rent A Garage Bay With A Lift | Stew's Self Service Garage
Well I also have a Shop I have part ownership in with two lifts, but they where both occupied with actually paying jobs at the time, so my friend came in clutch so I didn't have to put the car on jack stands to do it. At least you have the rent-a-lift places, we certainly don't have those around me.

I imagine it came from here.

I've never heard of that place, I'm liking the carbon fiber infotainment base trim. I chipped part of that trim piece when I swapped in the 8" touch screen and nav into my base gt. I ended up just painting it silver but I'm definitely diggin that carbon fiber look.

Custom requested order from G4werkz for the dash piece, it’s a full replacement piece (needs to be swapped with the oem bezel). They can do any color carbon for this piece I imagine, someone else got regular carbon done before me.

Door window switch overlays on ebay B-Type Red Carbon Fiber Window Panel Switch Cover For Kia Stinger GT 2018-2022 | eBay
I have a gt1, no heated rear seats so I got these. If you have a gt2 with heated rear seats there’s another option.

The stinger custom interior is clean when not chipped or peeling lol . I want to wrap mines or grab some of that carbon fiber from g4werkz @CeramicGT001 mentioned to spice things up a bit

It was $300 shipped, Freddy Harris on Facebook is the guy I worked with or you could reach out to their socials/email.

Also I’ve seen this option shopkiastinger.com/shop/p/kia-stinger-infotainment-base-surrounding

Not bad at all. I see on eBay they have the whole set as well . Wish they had it in red instead of just standard colors . Can you purchase a full set from g4werkz like this one on eBay?

Don’t think so, think they only offer higher cost replacement pieces rather than overlays.

Stinger script added to strut bars for a nice lil touch

Looks good, you can now finish it of with a red cf look engine cover.
