The good old days! I think mine had roll up windows, lol!
Tesla's design is sparse and devoid of distractions however, with everything being in the screen, that brings about it's own set of issues if you need to operate things while driving. It might not be so for younger drivers but I know, I needed my reading glasses to see the screen to adjust things when I was on the test drive. That was one of the things that was concerning for long term ownership. Maybe with some test drives, I would get used to it but the other issues with the build quality stood out too much to trade in my 2019 Stinger, that was, in my mind, leagues above what Tesla had to offer, plus pay a higher price. That wasn't happening. The e-tron lease deal brought it closer to a loaded Stinger GT2 AWD price, without any discounts, that was more palatable. Doesn't have the speed of the Stinger but the comfort and quietness is fantastic!
The EV6 GT Line AWD has been getting a lot of praise for it's performance and has been touted as a competitor to Tesla and it's .1 seconds faster than the Stinger and tops out at $58K (if you can find a dealer not marking them up) before incentives. That is a good one to consider from the batch of new EVs coming out. The IONIQ 5 has a bigger cabin and a unique look but it seems the EV6 is the better drive and handling version while the IONIQ 5 has better range. I like the IONIQ 5's interior space and layout, didn't think I would but after getting to see them both at the LA auto show, that is the one I probably would end up with.
