What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Springs aren't going to affect the toe. unless there's a drastic ride height difference there's no way in hell the springs are causing the toe to go out several MM.

I assume all the rear arms are stock with eccentrics right? Has anyone marked these eccentrics to make sure they aren't loosening and moving? http://www.kstinger.com/alignment-570.html for details.

Other things to check
  • bushings on all the control arms
  • check for elongated/damaged holes in suspension arm mounting areas or undersized hardware that would allow undesired movment
  • subframe bolts are tight
  • steering rack bolts tight
  • all ball joints and tierod ends tightened correctly and don't have excessive play.
Bottom line is either something is worn out or isn't tightened down enough causing adjustments to change likely in the rear as it only takes 1 loose bolt to throw off a bunch of different perameters with a multilink suspension as there's 4 different arms on each side that locate the rear wheels and they all work in different planes.

Best option is set the alignment and mark every bolt on the suspension arms and see what is moving to cause your issue.

It's either that, or there's somone who's really bored going around changing your alignment while you sleep :ninja:
Well it is going back to Kia on Monday 20th, this time its a different Kia as ive moved areas. Failing there ability to diagnosis ive heard there is a reputable suspension place somewhere around here.

Being a regional area there's few choices here. Had someone in here say my wheel spacers may have caused this possibly. So many possibilities.

i chipped away at the ice so i could open my door handle so i could drive on the ice and snow to get to work. the sunroof sounded like it was going to bust and cave in.

I've got the West Jordan portion of that same snow all over the butt end of my car (north-facing carport, heh). Hopefully the sunroof is only making temporary noises? Haven't heard of that before (ice and snow caused noises, I mean). Do NOT go over your car with a snow brush or scraper!? If you can see you're good until this stuff melts off. When I have to brush snow off, I try and leave a layer between the bristles and the paint.

Usually by the end of dec, temps crash around here, jan/feb are the worst months. Earlier this year we had 18-20" comes down in one event. Crazy.

Haaaa. I'd like some snow ... We are about to get a cold front in tonight but today was warm

So, I didn't drive for the last two days, and thus avoided salty spray spattering my car: today the roads are dry. Went out and used a hair dryer to melt the ice off the tail feathers of my Stinger: then used the same hair dryer on those spots where kitty footy prints (muddy ones) had begrimed upper surfaces: without the dryer I would not have been able to spray and wipe up the grime, as the spray would freeze almost instantly on contact. After that prep, I went out with full contentment and got my 2022 Stinger calendar made at Walgreens (one for me, one for my "favorite" grandson: hah: he loves cars and my Stinger, so, it isn't favoritism, just a shared interest in a lovely object, grandpa's pretty car :D).

(edit to add: Went back out to Walgreens, because when I was going to hang the 2022 calendar behind December, there was no hole through the pages, heh! The gal said, "Sorry you had to come back. Thanks for your patience." I told her that it wasn't very far, but left out the detail that the main engine behind my pleasantness was that I have a fun car to drive. :D)

I pulled the AWD fuse (after opening the hood, locking the doors, moving the key far away, and waiting 15 minutes to put the ECU to sleep) to check if my long sweeper handing issue is AWD-related.

Pouring rain, so the test will have to wait.

The green caught my eye, because that is very similar to the green behind my keyboard. But probably the blue, which is what I let my grandson pick as his favorite (had red before that, just because).

So, had to run a quick errand, still wet, so no testing today, but despite putting the ECU to sleep (I think) I got the AWD light.

Thoughts?
