Actually here in the Vancouver area Shell has recently rolled out VPower 93 so I’ve gone to it from Chevron 94. Fuel isn’t the place to save pennies!
Couldn't see that happening. At that point you would probably be taking an extra $250B of discretionary spending out of the economy. That doesn't include the extra cost to the economy for goods and services.
I don't see myself biking 100-120 miles a day. I'll get a sleeping bag. As far as discretionary spending goes, i see food and energy prices going way up, while some non essential products collapsing and disappearing.
1 litre of Shell 93 is $1.98 there is 3.78 litres to a US gallon. 1.98 x 3.78 = 7.48 ish. So here in Canadian dollars we are currently above your highest prediction that is if you want premium fuel in your Stinger. Which I do.

to include the currency conversion factor, that $7.48CAD per US Gallon would be closer to $6.04USD per US Gallon (still very unattractive)
JB4 daily Map 2, add E85 in the warmer months and go Map 3. Now with the Shell 93 my Map 2 logs are much cleaner than they were on Chevron 94.

No there is only one place that has it which is a 15 to 30 minute drive for me depending on traffic.
