What is "the phone screen"?

Question, does the new UI still show your phone battery and cell signal on the screen? I remember that being something they removed on previous updates.
It's been moved and is only visible on the phone screen.
Okay, I searched all over and do not see an icon for the battery charge level. It is gone on my update. (This is a mild annoyance but still unnecessary; why move/remove a handy little bit of information?)

The things this site makes me do middle of the night....

Makes no sense to me why they hid it on one page. There's plenty of room top right corner. Would be nice to check my phone status while driving instead of having to look at my phone, defeats the purpose of hands free. Hope the icons return to their rightful place in a future update.

Update: I should've posted this yesterday, but just getting to it today. Thanks again, @RUFFSTUFF for the tip! Works for me. I like it for the most part, and found things like "nature sounds" amusing to have in a car. My only gripe is I have alot less station presets with this update.

Of all the stupid things to move: I would never have looked for the battery icon there: what is the logic behind that?! I had to go outside just now and see if it was there. :D Thanks for finding it for me.

They are just trying to mess with you Merlin.

Why do you have less station presets? I'm able to add as many as I want.

Unless I'm missing something, I was limited to 28. The old version had around 10 more than that. I only know this because I wasn't able to add all the same SiriusXM stations as I had before.

You need to go to the Kia Owners website and download "Navigation Updater" Download the new files to a 32MB SD card (can be the original or the new one) follow screen prompts.

New roads are in the maps! Cannot arrange the radio presets in your preferred order. It automatically sorts in number order
You can add your most favorite radio presets to the MY MENU button which makes it easier.

Anyone have issues?

I cant set any XM channels as a preset and the recording/rewind on XM doesnt work for me.
Did you figure it out? Select the menu, all channels. Touch the star next to each channel you want to select for preset.

New discovery: the right radio knob (the one that shows the title of the track you're listening to if you push it in), does not show previous or upcoming tracks if you turn it left or right respectively: the update has turned that knob into a NAV screen map zoom out and zoom in respectively. That's pretty cool! :D (it still shows which track you're listening to if you push it in)

I'm currently downloading the update to my 'puter; it's taking it's sweet time, and this is a modern laptop with high capabilities. After the download is finished (currently at 56%) I'll try moving the folder to an SD card, but expect it to refuse because the SD card I want to use is a new SanDisk 64 GB; and apparently, Kia's updates are FAT32, which (I am informed) won't go on any SD card bigger than 32 GB: I do not understand any of what I am talking about. I'm keeping my original Kia SD card with the 12.5 version on it as a fallback position.
I just updated mine tonight. I was a bit paranoid about overwriting the stock software, so I moved the SD card to my laptop first and then copied the update over to the SD card. If you do it that way you can mess up the update and can always revert back to the older version.

I'm not in love with the vacuum tube display on XM and the smaller track info HOWEVER (and this is purely my feelings) that it somehow sounds better?

Voice recognition seems much better.....

I was wrong. Seemed to work well on a few commands.

However, the rest still sucks. Mainly naming any POI, it has no frickin clue.
I tried five times speaking my home address today while driving and all five times the system could not find my home.
I hooked up my iPhone via CarPlay and Siri right out of the gate found my home address the first time around.

While I agree, in fairness your iPhone is using a cloud-based system with a lot more horsepower (no pun intended) behind it. Your car is doing it all locally, and the algorithm has to be a lot weaker as a result.

Makes sense about the iPhone having more horsepower then the cars system.
However, when I manually enter in my home address using the keypad while in park, my address is found right away.
I can honestly say that the voice recognition is better on my wife’s 2020 Santa Fe Limited.
