What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Busy day for the Stinger today! Installed new R1 Concept drilled and slotted rotors, Girodisk Magic front brake pads and Maxton side skirts (Courtesy of Metalmania82...Thank you), also had an oil change and had the zerk fittings on the Eibach sway bars greased. If anyone in the NW suburbs of Chicago needs any work done on their Stinger, I got the guy for you. He's reasonable and treats my car with absolute respect. Specializes in higher end performance cars but loves the Stinger as well. Looks great!

Going in next weekend. After this, I think I am DONE (yeah, right).

That’s a massive fmic!

Ugh. Went to the dealership today planning on getting an oil change and a couple of recalls looked at, and they told me my 2018 Stinger was due for 15k service (I'm at 14,700 miles). I was a bit under the weather (got my 2nd vaccine shot a couple days ago) and just had them go ahead and do it, but it was nearly $400.

There's absolutely no reason to justify that expense for oil and filter changes. What are they thinking? And why did I pay?

I guess I learned an expensive lesson...

Lamborghini oil change would cost you 200-300 dollars @ independent shops. 400 for a Kia oil change? LoL!

Tell me about it. I can't believe they even charge that much. And their 30k-mile service is $750!!!

I found another Kia owner, an Optima or something, complaining about this pricing in another forum a few years ago. I guess it's a Kia thing, though it seems excessive.

That's not unreasonable, a bit high maybe, but not out of sight. The 15K miles (c. 24K Kms) service involves quite a bit more than oil change and filter. Here's the best graphic of it I've found (it's Canadian, but you get the idea; prices are rather higher in US dollars than shown):

Had a new set of Michelin PS4S installed Wednesday in the week followed by a through wash on Saturday.

They did service the battery and put in some fuel additive, as well as inspect everything. I definitely won't use them for that kind of service again.

Just did my 12,000 mile maintenance 350 miles early, everything is looking good so far. Have the recall scheduled for tomorrow hoping they don't make a mess of things.

Man...that sucks so bad. You good? Car can be fixed.
Yea I'm ok.. it was such a hard hit ... I'm so upset.. I know it's just an object but sucks so much ... first new car ever .. first actual nice car ever etc.. it's just so hard for a car to be put back together as well as factory after so many things bent out of shape ..

A dealer charging outrageous prices for service? You sir are a liar!

I understand, definitely adds to the frustration and anger of the situation.
