Need more information to be of any help.
On what did you download the files? A computer? A phone? Other?
To what medium did you download the files? Hard drive? USB Memory stick? SD card?
What medium were the files on when you attempted the install?
If an SD card, what size and what format?
Did you get any errors during the download?
How long did the download take?
How long did the install software predict the download would take?
What download speed do you have?

Here are my answers:
On what did you download the files?
A computer (Windows 10) via KIA Navigation Updater software.

To what medium did you download the files?
SD Card. The KIA Navigation Updater software did the copy work.

What medium were the files on when you attempted the install?
SD Card. 32 GB. FAT32.

Did you get any errors during the download?
No.

How long did the download take?
2 Minutes (fast internet).

How long did the install software predict the download would take?
Same. 2 Minutes.

What download speed do you have?
120 Mb/s.

Please note I have found the same issue in the Hyundai forums, and they say this problem is due to an invalid checksum file with a different hash. So when the head unit starts to check files before update encounters error 107.

I already have informed KIA Korea about this through their customer support.

Just purchased a '19 GT1 and ran the update. My navigation won't initialize now. :(

Every one of those things look perfect, right up to the error 107. My Internet here is so bad, it took around 20 hours to do the 17.753 GB download. But the install went perfect. The process took 10 minutes or so to check the files and then another 10 minutes to actually do the update. So there must have been a copy error while you were doing the download. There isn't much I can do for you. Particularly since you can download in 2 minutes, I suggest you try it again. Because my Internet is so slow, it just isn't practical for me to email you a copy of the install files I downloaded. I could probably copy them to a memory stick and walk it to you faster. Reformat the SD card, run a check disc on it and try again is the best I can suggest. Sorry I don't have a better answer.

I updated using a FAT32 formatted USB drive with no issues until it was done since navigation won't initialize now for me as well.

The old SD card is inserted so that might have something to do with it, guess I'll have to format it or get a new one.

Hmm. Even at a 120mbps ~~17 gigabyte file that should have taken at least 15 to 20 min to download . I have a gigabit connection so am limited to the throughput of the host network maxing out at around 350mbps download for the file so it took me still 12 to 13 min for the download part only ... are you sure it's dowoading the nav update and not the small audio update that is available for some other units?

Dude claims 120Mb/s which is 8 times faster than what you're thinking.

Holy crap!? I have "ordinary Internet" and a really good machine, and the download took over an hour. Maybe you need to try the download again and go slower :P.

Otherwise, I did everything the same way you did, and only "I" got in the way (bungling my way forward).

So, USB had the downloaded files from your computer on it; and you take it to the car and upload to the already inserted (never removed) SD card: you still have to perform the update of the system once the SD card is updated. Just having the files on the SD card doesn't do a thing until the car runs the entire three-step process of updating itself.

This was the 3rd update I've done and I had no issues.

120 Mb/s is bits, not bytes - MB/s (capital B) is bytes, which would be 8 times faster if using the same number. I don't know of any providers advertising their speeds in MB/s, as the smaller number would 'appear' slower in comparison to other ISPs.

Download time for 17GB at a steady 120 Mb/s would be right around 20 minutes - but as stated previously, a lot is dependent on the performance of the upload server as well as the stability and type of the local connection. A 2 minute download at that speed (or less) means it was either the wrong file, or an aborted upload.

My 150 Mb/s (nominal) connection tests at around 175-180 Mb/s, and took around 20 minutes or so for the download.

Love the Nixie tube display for the radio stations! (And no, this isn't a racist radio station - the song playing was 'White Hot' ... :p)

Can you please post a pic of the new home screen with map/media song info? Some claim it's not there after the update, i use it all the time so i would be sad if they ditched that.

I used a FAT32 formatted drive as well. I have an appointment at the dealer on Friday but I have a feeling they're going to try and sell me some nonsense to fix it.

Wow. Maximum Douchebaggery Alert. So unless you are calling aceblue a liar, what would his download speed be to download a 18GB file in about 2 min?

I used the SD card that came with the car and ran the Nav Update software using that card. Works now!

I just updated my 2019 GT Limited with the April 2021 update and everything went fine. I used the KIA sd card that came with my car.

Approximately 1.2 Gb/s minimum - any retransmits, error correction, etc., can drive that number up, depending on how many problems occur during the transmission. It took me around 20 hours to download the files, but my Internet service is generally a little worse than the old dial up with a modem you stuck your land line handpiece into.

And about how many megabytes would that be?
