Kia Stinger GT vs Audi RS5

Driver Mod is not for sale. Your born with it. :)

With that said... both the S4/S5 and the RS5 are phenomenal cars but I think comparing any stock Stinger to a stock RS5 is laughable.
I agree......saw this butt whooping first hand on the Interstate. can't say if the Stinger had any mods or the RS5 had any mods but it wasn't long before the beloved Stinger GT was smelling exhaust. Dont get me wrong, I was rooting for the Stinger but troof is troof and I saw it.....run upon one of these with a competent driver and the Stinger will eat dust every time.....2012/13 model, give you that but after that, leave it be....at some point, it has to be realized that there are faster cars......

maybe it was an older rs5 that wasn't as quick as new ones ?
even the S5 is pretty much neck and neck 0-60 with the Stinger... either way, no matter what it was, the Audi dude was pissed off he lost. hahaa

I ended up toe to toe with an Audi S7 yesterday. He was playing with me so, I played hard too. The S7 seems to do well off the line against the Stinger but seems to lean out past 30. He got me off the line but I closed the gap coming through 30.

Hey guys. The Stinger is gone, lease ended. And yes it had an RS5 logo on the back, maybe another poser with a regular s5 and just the rs5 badge. Older model, probably 1st gen. And yes light to light I was first with the audi gaining.

And you didn't love it enough to keep it or get a new one ? ?
Feedback on your time with it ?

I loved the car but....
Let's start with the negatives:
1. Dealer service, how they treat you and especially the car is just horrible!
2. Brakes. Vibration on the steering wheel was constant. I know it's a known issue but the dealer refused to replace rotors and pads, only if I pay for it.
3. Constant electronic glitches. Front parking sensors constantly glitched. Sometimes "my menu" button pressed all by itself (manually pressed the home button and in a few seconds the my menu button self pressed again, happened approximately 10 times in a row) and that happened around once a week.
4. Somewhat low shining front lights.

Now the good stuff:
1. Great performance, quick, fast and agile.
2. Amazing sound system.
3. Great handling
4. Super sexy, beautiful looks.
5. Practical with a good size trunk and foldable seats.
6. Very comfortable and supportive seats, although a little hard on long trips
7. Awesome adjustability of options.
8. Nice and informative head up display
9. Very tight, 1.1 turns lock to lock steering
10. Till last day people were turning heads and showing thumbs up.
11. This car is an attention grabber, in a good way)
12. All LED lights throughout the whole car.

Why I didn't get a new one?
It's was going to be much more expensive with all that pandemic.
For now, got a cheaper run around car.

So what do you drive now?

Your issues on number 1 and number 2 are exactly what I have gone through. I am stunned they gave you such an issue during a lease for number 2 though. I had 5 visits and attempted repairs on my brake vibration problem... and I am financing not leasing... very strange... Did you get the vehicle serviced in Brooklyn? I am up in Yonkers but work in Brooklyn and Long Island so that is why I ask.

Got a 2021 Mazda CX-5 Turbo in Grand Touring Reserve trim. A fun to drive, peppy little thing.
I serviced the stinger in my friend's shop but if any under warranty problem arised I went to Plaza Kia in Brooklyn. Please NEVER go to service your stinger there. Workers change there all the time. No one gives a shit about your service order and they treat your car and stuff in it like crap.
Got my stinger from Yonker kia initially. Also not a big fan.

Ah ok!

Yeah I had Yonkers Kia do my warranty repairs. How ironic lol.

My buddy introduced me to a mechanic in Long Island City who is very honest and legitimate with his work. I personally would never get my vehicle touched at the dealership outside of a recall notice or warranty claim.

Good luck in your Mazda btw! My friend's wife has a similar vehicle (I believe the base model though) and she loves it!

That's why I'm sticking with my KIA badges. It's much more embarrassing to be blown away by a KIA!
Nothing embarrassing about losing to a Kia, Toyota, Honda, Ford, or whatever else. Real car enthusiasts, not the fake ones who drop their savings on a base model BMW, Audi, or BMW just to say they drive one, will all respect the performance. I love telling people "it's just a Kia" or "it's around the same price as a well-equipped Accord or Camry" and seeing their reaction. Keep those Kia badges and represent! :D

Agreed.
Though in Canada, it's not same price as fully loaded accord/camry. It's $13-$15K more here, for fully loaded Stinger.

ah okay! Didn't know! :D

I meant more a base model GT-RWD though... like when I was shopping around I did look at the new Camry XSE/XLE and the Accord 2.0T Sport/Touring which were all well equipped-with many options... and price wise the Toyota's and Honda's were around the same price as the base model GT-RWD that I decided the pick up.

But yes of course once you put options on the Stinger or go for AWD or higher trims such as GT1/GT2/GTS the price gap increases drastically! :D

Was there any smoke billowing from his car? Any of his tires flat?

Lol, I only ask these things because an RS5 should be able to rape our cars pretty easily.

Maybe it was an S5?
I beat a stock RS7 on map 5 with e30 in the tank from 50-140 twice on the highway he got it tuned a week later lol.

Haha thanks man. We’re probably gonna race again he’ll turn the tune back to stock and try again but he’s got catless down pipes and intakes so idk how much power that will give him over stock it should be kinda close though
