What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Thanks for sharing. I love car porn! I see you are in New Jersey. Went to high school in a township called Teaneck. NJ is actually prettier than most people think. It is not really about what exit are you on?
Thank you. From Manalapan (Central Jersey). Moved out here when my parents moved from Brooklyn in 76. But crowded now but it does offer just about everything.

Great to meet you, hey! I moved to NJ from the upper west side of Manhattan when I was in high school. Back then, NYC was rough -- the mayor was thinking of selling parts of Central Park. Times Square was dangerous during the light of day. .... I genuinely miss that area of the country.

Central Jersey is very pretty -- from what I remember.

Nice car man! I purchased mine used back in June. Unfortunately I need new tires already. The tires it came with are exactly these and i just want to know how they are treating you so far. I am in between these and some Bridgestone Potenza RE980 A/S. Since Wheels are staggered im trying to get the most life out my tires.

Put my winter shoes back on. The gloss black powder coat has gotten hazy after going through the car wash tunnels of most of two winters. This third winter will be sans car wash tunnels: I will go to a hand wash (Luxe Automotive) to get the undercarriage done; and there goes the only reason why I was subjecting my Stinger to a tunnel. Anyway, I used Meguiar's rubbing and polishing compounds to knock that haze back (even the rubbing compound wouldn't get rid of the worst scratches; but the wheels pass the "five to six feet back" rule).

My hope is the ceramic coating allows me to just do a power wash spray down at the diy car wash ports. Fingers crossed.

I purchased a GT decal and put it on the drive mode control. And, yesterday, I put in four Stinger interior designs where the black plastic used to be with my door handles. The interior design makes the vehicle's interior look sharper. When you take the plastic out, you will see why.

Whenever possible, buy from KDM Warehouse. Much quicker shipping and great service.

Unfortunately, this is a case of what was *done* to my Stinger, yesterday. Broad-sided by a fool trying to make a U-turn and failing to yield. This is at the rear door on the driver’s side. Now entering insurance hell...View attachment 51651
You were turning right, I'm guessing, and s/he swung clear over into the righthand lane.

May your "insurance hell" be swift and completely satisfactory. Rocker panel is a quick change; but that is definitely not paintless dent removal. Heh! At least they missed your wheel, it seems; no suspension damage; only body panel. I'll stop there. :(

Thanks, I hope you are right about the extent of repairs. I was actually traveling straight ahead, with a green light, but when the other driver didn't stop his U-turn I tried to swerve to avoid the collision. I did not succeed, obviously, but at least I did not get pushed to the curb. There was a woman standing right there at a bus stop.

Finished after 4 or so hours. Few pics of the two together.

Changed my engine oil and filter this morning. The SXTH Element single catch can picked up 22.3 ml (~0.75 fl oz) since the last change. Fresh Mobil 1 and a Wix filter for the winter.

I also changed the cabin air filter for the first time. I was surprised by how dirty it was after 17,500 miles. I wasn't having odd smells or anything, but there were some small leaves and lots of dust.

Removed the KIA badge on the front and replaced it with the E Stinger round logo. Also replaced the KIA 5-star lug nut covers with the E star covers.

Took mine to Rockingham Dragway and won the roll racing competition with 4 consecutive 120mph passes, then ran an 11.70 1/4 mile! Great day for the Stinger!
