3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

It’s a quiet exhaust so makes sense. My MBRP exhaust is quieter in cabin after tips as well but louder on the outside.

Hopefully the second revision is louder but it’s going to be hard to get people to commit to it until they actually build it and provide some videos of how it sounds compared to version 1.

Good to hear your cabin is quieter with the tips. I agree they need videos with high quality audio and hopefully their new systems don't have fitment issues. With the right sound and low to zero fitment issues it would be a really great buy at their discounted price for Stinger owners.

Let me ask this, how many are actually serious about getting the new system ? And I mean not just kicking it around, in the market ready to purchase?
Because if that is the case maybe I can convince the owner to pony up and start production before the needed amount. If people say yes and back out, guess who is left holding the empty cookie jar? Me, and I look like a gd fool
So honestly, who is seriously looking into this. Because the fitment issues of the past should not be a factor. Since that was well documented with them, and thats the reason for the new retool and v2

The original system was designed awhile ago, and at the time, I guess the angle of the tailpipes slipped through the cracks and became a design flaw, that we all found

My personal thoughts are, I am glad that I made contact with Quicksilver ,and the owner was gracious enough to be very agreeable on dropping the price, then offering the free shipping for the month. Then is designing a new improved system with fitment and sound, specifically because of our wants and needs, and our feedback. At the same price, sans shipping, which once shipped, on your door in two days. I am hype
I’m totally in.

I'm in depending on the sound and the loudness of the Supersport.

Hopefully not louder or even quiter than MBRP.

If it is, I may be in the market for the original system from who might want to trade up to the new

Secondary pipes are arriving today, but I don't think there's much point in putting them on until the rest of the exhaust shows up... Still waiting on my intakes from JT also. Probably just gonna put everything on in one go, and get a before and after dyno pull for science.

What is the consensus on exhaust tips, I'm definitely getting some to eliminate drone but I want to make sure I get the right ones and there seems to be multiple different measurements being thrown around.

And hey, Borla has optional (and crazy overpriced) tips for their exhaust, maybe if QS is retooling for this Supersport project they can include some compatible tips with the order that won't require any permanent alteration of my bumper? Would sure sweeten the pot for everyone who is on the fence!

If you puchase the oval tips in the correct inlet size for the QS exhaust (not sure what it is) x 105mm outlet they will fit without any trimming of your diffuser.

So silent then? Pretty sure it will have to be "louder or quieter than MBRP"... Did you mean quieter than the version 1 QS exhaust or louder than MBRP?

I have already spoken to them about the tips. They currently have carbon tips for some of their complete systems. I asked about getting them for our's. He said it's doable, but would be a bit costly, but they do look sooooo badass.
Quicksilver has posted in some of the UK forums looking for a Stinger for development for the new exhaust. They are on the down low because of the lockdown, and don't want people going bonkers when they find out they are developing a new exhaust system while others are quarantined at home. Sources say approx 2-3 weeks after development is done til units are ready to be built and or shipped shortly after. So they are also doing the AWD silenced secondaries during that time frame I believe so maybe everything will be ready roughly the same time. But hopefully before that I should have an actual prototype installed and a chance to build some exciement and some more orders

I and a few others, have zero drone. And others have also put tips on and made the cabin even quieter, but from outside it still sounds amazing

I still don't know what the car actually sounds like...

Yes, I'm aware :) But specifically I was asking whether or not there's a consensus on the measurements we need for exhaust tips. Some of the ones I've seen on here look ok but there has been back and forth about how many inches the pipes diameters have to be, what fits, I just want to make sure of the numbers before I buy something that doesn't work.

Edit: looks like I missed a reply in there, so 105mm outside is a good place to start, is the diameter of the inside 2.5"?

Are you still get the AWD secondaries to test? I wonder how different they would be compared to ARKs.

Do we know if it will be a dual exit, or a single and a false one?

I specifically asked for all four to be functional
I should have asked about the valve control

I meant quieter than MBRP
I don't mind if it's a tad louder than the QS version 1, but not much louder (therefore quieter than MBRP

I'm hoping it's as loud or louder than Borla.

I would prefer it not be as loud as the Borla, lol. Haven't heard the MBRP in person but it seems like the known middle ground, I'd probably be ok with it being around that level but no louder.

Only way I'd get anything super loud is if it was an EVC, and frankly with everything going on right now there's no way I could justify forking over the money for the JunBL.

They have the capability of making an evc system for us. If anyone is interested, I can inquire on the price. Also those who want
loud, loud, they could also do that. Super Sport Plus, which is proper race car sound

ugh the Borla rasp, and tinny sound
