What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Someone scratched my paint (by accident or not) within the last 2 days and I have not found who and where.
I watched cctv tapes of where I live and couldn't find any clue. I don't even know how these marks could have happened but they are pretty deep. The steel under the paint is visible.

I am so mad and sad at the same time... I always take very good care of my car and this happens...

Those are high enough to be done by a wobbling, passing bicyclist.

I really wish that site sold them in different finishes other than CF or red CF. I would like to have a set in black or black chrome
You could just paint the CF black. That would not only work but it would be relatively cheap for you as well:thumbup:

Thanks for the ideas. I didn't realize they could be painted. I thought carbon fiber was hard to get paint to stick to.

Have you contacted them and asked whether they have/considered other finishes or can produce them?
It worked for me not too long ago - I think it's worth a try.

Also good idea on contacting them. I will try that.

I thought so but I haven't seen any on the cctv footage :(
It had to happen at that time and place? Is it possible that you didn't notice it till later? How often do you approach your car from the passenger side? (that said, how much cycling happens in S. Korea on the sidewalk?)

I washed the car on Sunday afternoon. Then I took a picture of the passenger side on that night and the side was clean.

I didn't use the car on Monday, then took it to work on Tuesday and realized the damage on that evening. So it may have happened either at home or at work, but I don't see how such marks can be made on a company parking building. Nobody has carts, bicycles or carry large items. That's why I suspect home but CCTV doesn't show anything. (It took 4 hours to view all the tape)

Dang. That's four hours of your life that you'll never get back.

No curbside parking, so, there goes the cycling theory.

I don't see this as malicious. Keying would not produce such a perfect lineup of marks like that. And keying makes long scratches, not bouncing impact marks. The direction of the marks is from right to left. So, someone/thing passed by between cars (assuming parking garage here?), nose to tail. A parka with gnarly zippers? You must have had your mirrors folded in. Heh, that would be ironic: a mirror sticking out might have made "them" steer clear of the door/handle.

It looks like the car is not in an actual parking space? That might explain why someone would damage it intentionally..

Niche Vosso M204 delivered - install picture to follow up in a few weeks! View attachment 40150

What are the specs? I was looking into Niche wheels but was waiting for a sale. Can you PM who you bought it from as I'm comparing different seller prices. Thanks.

Stinger will be self isolating over Easter. Heavy fines for driver and passengers apply for unnecessary travel.

Yeah I am really curious to see how it occured. It is not keying, but it is aligned and clean marks.
