Check this out!!! (ECS control module)

Not sure who here isn't getting persistence - mine definitely stays changed without re-setting it every time the car starts up..

Are you 100% sure?

Did you make a 100% firm custom profile to verify?

Even the seller offered this clarification months ago that the settings are only for the current drive cycle.

Mine stays the same after the car is turned off and the app gets disconnected.

I've verified with making it 80% firm via custom profile. It stays that way over night.

I have a custom profile (basically about 15% more firm than Wayne 1 profile) and it stays that way all the time unless I connect the app and change it to different setting.
The custom profile is firm enough for me to tell the difference between the stock comfort, which is the default profile if the setting were to "reset" each time the car is turned off.

I have connected the Mando via "spare" fuse slot in the fuse box, which turns on/off with the car.

So to state the obvious...

go check your wiring.

odds are it isn’t constant.

might even be one that you THINK is constant (like 10 minutes after ignition is cut it still is active), but then shuts off.

You guys that are getting persistence, which fuse are you tapped into? I will check mine today.

I always thought my mando kept the settings after they were set. I'm not sure the old version did that for a fact, but I updated to the new android version and I'm positive it stays now. I set it to 100% all the way around in the app and was "bumping" around like my car had the jitters. I then stopped the car (turned off :)), went inside the store, came out and started the car and it still had the jitters. I then changed to comfort (on the app), drove to another store and all was smooth. I then turned the car off, went inside, came out and it still had the smooths. So, I think all is good now.

"75% handling, 75% ride" is really, REALLY hard to mistake for stock. Especially when I then set it to Mando-comfort after that.

Edit: it stayed at 75/75 for like a week..

That's awesome

What are you powering your ECS10 with? Switched power or constant power?

There was an "auxiliary module" or something slot in the fuse box - I used "add a fuse" to plug into that.

Connected a tablet to my OBDII port last night to view with the live data and get a better better understanding of what is going on.

Very interesting to see how rapidly and constantly the shocks change when considering all the inputs. (When driving)

From my testing, the drive mode switch is not operational when the MANDO is connected and enabled.

Video only shows the car stationary, and switching some basic profiles.
Video link -->

Also added the PDF as information for those curious. (The PDF file is regarding the OEM ECS, and not directly related to the MANDO).

Please tell us you have figured-out where to plug the damned thing in so you get retention of your settings!!!! If you can't figure it out, then the rest of us will have no hope ;)

Just installed mine yesterday, which fuse is everyone going with to so this stays active?

Go to page 12 of this post. The KLR Stinger post has two videos posted, if you look at the bottom one it shows where he hooked it up in the fuse box. I used the same fuse and mine holds settings.

I'm guessing the one on the left, that's the one I used and it looks like it stayed active. Thanks

I used the one on the right, I guess both stay on all the time.

I used the empty fuse marked as "spare" which is a switched power (turns on/off with the car). It retains the Mando setting.

I have clearly not been paying attention. This thread was started last summer, and I’ve been looking for this since I bought the car last spring, this is super exciting. Just ordered now.

so just to confirmed, does the app retain the settings ? I see it was validated then was not ... then it was... what is it ?:rolleyes:

It does for some
It doesn't for others.

When I have more time and better weather - I have a plan for something I would like to do. Even if It's just temporary.

My plan - is the tap into the output wires from the OEM ECS - back probe (the wires that go between the OEM ECS and the the shock solenoid) which is located in the rear drivers side luggage area.
I want to run 2 wires from there to a volt gauge (an always on display) that is visible to the driver. (temporarily installed for data collection)

Leaving this installed for like a week or so, should resolve MANY questions. Being able to see the live data while driving will be very informative, and it will also confirm if the settings remain or not after all types of shutdown and restarts.

What I know so far is that the higher the current going to the shock solenoid, the SOFTER the damping. (this can be seen in the videos and images I shared in post #471

I ASSUME the higher current will also mean higher voltage - but I have yet to confirm that.

I am fairly certain, when using a custom ECS10 profile, the 5 x G-sensors are NOT utilized, and whatever setting you apply (custom 1 through 4) is essentially static with respect to the 4 G sensors. (The 2 re-tuned settings called comfort and sport - definitely do utilize the 5 G sensors

that is my "PLAN" for a sunny day.
