So disconnected everything, deleted the phone from the car memory, set it all up again, worked fine for about 3 messages then seemed to stop again. Tried it again today when I got in the car without doing setup again, not working. Got me buggered what’s wrong with it, it was working fine before. Not a big thing but just annoying given it worked perfectly

So an update on the failure to display/read text messages over Bluetooth that was mentioned back in December. A few days ago it randomly played the message tone, somewhat surprised I accessed the messaging via the infotainment unit and knock me down with a feather, not only did it display the message it also read it out loud when I selected that option. The following day however back to not working again.
I updated to the latest iOS yesterday, deleted the phone from the car memory, and the car from the phone memory. Set it all up again only to find that despite the car claiming upon start up that text messaging is available it won’t display or read messages or play the message tone when a new message is received. Very frustrating.

In the Bluetooth Settings on your phone do you have “Show Notifications” activated?

Yes I do. Nothing has changed on the phone or the car settings. Only thing that changed is the car stopped displaying them for some reason

I think our cars were made on the same day! I too got a random message come through. That was it. Only 1 and no more since. Really strange. I also have deleted the phone and re-paired but still no joy. It’s not really worrying me, but it would be kind of nice if it worked.

Mine’s a 2018 model, I’m guessing by the colour yours is a 19/20 model. It’s weird being different models we both have it. Mine worked fine for a long time then just randomly stopped one day. Not sure if it’s an iPhone thing or a car software thing. I’m guessing if I mention it at the next service they’ll blame the phone and put it in the too hard basket

How have we been? Saw on the news tonight a white Stinger was pulled over near Sunbury doing 228kmh, 128kmh's over the speed limit. Car has been impounded and the driver has a date in court. Silly boy.

Had to go into work yesterday to get my annual Flu jab, at least it was a good excuse to take the Stinger for a drive.
Happy that my " strategic " park between the two stone pillars was available, however , looked like someone previously didn't park so well and left some remnants of their car behind......oops.....

Might have it included in the 20,000 kms service depending on the cost.
Has anyone else had it done yet ?

I'll put money down that it will an "Extra". I keep a can of Glen 20 in the garage for the occasional bad smells etc.
