The stinger does many other things better and thats why most of us own them... It's a great platform and I never once said that it isn't. I'm not sure why this is such a complex and offensive matter to people. Thanks for the fatherly advice on the trade in but I think I will keep this car for the intended purposes and add another mustang to the stable. How about you stop being a little bitch now and accept the fact that a stinger isn't the fastest thing on the track and it was never intended to be

Lmao. I think you have a couple brain cells missing. I never once stated the Stinger is the fastest car. Not by a long shot buddy. Now your delusions have turned into making up statements that I clearly never said. Yes there are faster Mustangs than the Stinger as it should be expected from a v8 that has a lot more displacement over the 3.3. What I am saying is that the Stinger is not only keeping up with FBO 5.0s but in most cases gapping them. But honestly I will let you keep thinking this car isn't a "true" sports car platform that can compete, because I guess it adds to the sleeper advantage of this car. People underestimate the car JUST because its a Kia. In reality there is a ton of developments in the works, and upgrades we can do on this platform.

you guys are very repetitive. I'm sure you did gap any of the many years of 5.0 that had a 6 speed auto or manual. The 10 speed auto is 2018+ and runs high 11's completely bone stock. Mod for mod it is faster, that is a fact not an opinion. they run 10s on just a e85 tune and some tire lol

I think you need to look at the 1/4mi thread... FBO/WMI Stingers run mid 11s with traction issues... At BEST, a tuned A10 GT is running dead even, or maybe out launches it but never really pulls away (in fact, just to achieve 11s bone stock, the track surface has to be prepped and the rear tire pressures dropped, something one does not do for daily driving on the road; I've only seen one that runs mid 11s and he had exhaust, tune, but stock tires). You'll need more than a tune on said A10 GT to "gap any level modded Stinger", let alone "absolutely gap any Stinger like it was sitting still"...

I don't mind if people like Mustangs. I just hate fanboys of any sports car. They think their cars are the best thing that's happened to the racing community. It all comes down to peoples egos. That's why I chose the Stinger cause its whole purpose of being built was to establish Kia as a sports car competitor. And they hit the nail on the head with it. People chose the Mustang cause it's easy. It's a proven platform to blow 40k on and have a lot more power than they know how to handle. This is why you have mustang owners driving on curbs and crowds.

Does that mean there aren't fast mustangs out their? No because the fast ones are backed by good drivers that know how to handle all that power. So long story short I like Mustangs I just don't like most of the driver's of them.

So I might catch a little flak for this but I've seen similar posts on here. I remember I bought this car for a multitude of reasons. When I bought It I also looked at a charger scat pack, challenger scat pack, mustang gt, & a camaro ss. All in all I chose the Stinger as it seemed like the most practical for my situation plus I personally think its the best looking,most comfortable and the performance isn't anything to complain about. If you bought the Stinger strictly for performance you bought the wrong car since a stock mustang 2018 gt automatic ( 2018 - 3.9 0-60 & 12.1 1/4 mile ) will whoop our cars under equal conditions and so will most of the cars mentioned. People get to caught up on seeing all these videos and all of a sudden our cars are faster then an M5 (one from the 90's sure). If you want to go fast go buy an auto Mustang GT, throw a super charger on it with some tires and you'll run high 9s at the track ALL DAY. What Pnasty is saying isnt false but once again when your on the street a lot more variables get thrown into the outcome of race from a rolling start with "you gun it after the 3rd honk" Although I wouldn't really call this a race. Also, the GT350 is meant to be a track car not a drag car so no the Stinger won't run a faster lap time against a GT350 on any track but it'll look a hell of lot better doing it On another note I've got my yellow rain coat on waiting for all the turds to shower down on me

My buddies super charged 18 auto runs 9.8 with tires and a supercharger all day at the track. Let's all keep in mind that the gt350 is a track car and no our cars will never lap faster at Nuremberg but it will look a hell of a lot better Love my stinger but I'm a realist not a delisuional fanboy. If you bought a stinger for a drag car you chose the wrong car. Truth hurts. Now I'll put on yellow rain coat and wait for all the turds to fall on me from the sky.

You need to give it up.. I belong to a Mustang group and have a Mustang for my fun car, my DD is the Stinger GT2. I have run the many 5.0 A10's in our Mustang group and have never beaten one either rolling or from a dig stock vs. stock.. It's just not going to happen, but have gotten props from them saying" that "Kia is fast" or "Kia has upped their game". You will not convince anybody in this group because of videos on the net showing a Stinger beating one once or twice. I love both cars just as much, but I like each one for different reasons. If I'm going on a trip, I'm taking the Stinger because it is a great GT car and the interior is far superior to the Mustang. When I want the wind in my hair, I'll take the Mustang since it is a vert. Twisty roads, I'll take the Mustang also.

I get your points though as I am a fanboy of the Mustang, and a probably bigger fan boy of Kia as I've owned Kias for the last 10 years or so. But you will not convince anybody here that the Mustang is superior in any way over a Stinger. I learned that a while ago and have just given up on the discussion. It's probably better you do too. Save yourself a lot of typing, trouble, and just enjoy both for what they are.

A FBO on map 2-3 will run Mid to low 12's, so yeah, a stock A10 GT is still going to part ways with us unless we're running E85 mix or they're spinning their tires. Though like you said, you didn't buy the stinger for just the performance, but for four doors, luggage space, AWD, and a nicer interior.

There was a lot going on here lately. I agree that many of these new "Muscle Cars" are faster, and with a "pretty OK" driver will win a roll and probably a dig race. But these videos will come up always, showing a Stock Stinger whooping a Stock "something" that it has no business whooping. Same for a Modded vs Modded situation lol. I have one myself. I trounced a slightly modded Track Hawk a while back with my moderately modded Stinger. The video broke the internet to a small degree. I met and became friends with the driver. It was driver error, and out next race showed a more realistic result. And while I lost the second race, it was a cool video because it showed everyone just how tough the Stinger was.
