What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

What were you advised to ask?

For me, it doesn't matter too much given that regardless of whatever they tell me I still have to negotiate it down and then do the whole song and dance again after I decide to lease it. I can't imagine me saying anything one way or the other would get a truthful bottom dollar price from them anyway :)

I could be wrong. Short of someone acting rudely like the El Cajon dealership, however, my expectations are set about as low as possible. I have been a VW customer for so long not much surprises me anymore. That said, the worst had to be the Kia dealership that hard checked my credit without permission during a test drive and no matter who I spoke to at the dealership or credit bureaus there wasn't any way to remove the mark. Unless there's something higher than Tier 1 it's not impacting me negatively but it still hasn't rolled off so I'm annoyed by the principle of it.

I was advised to give them a decently low lowball price. I personally was thinking of giving them a % discount off msrp excluding discounts. However, I'm now reconsidering that strategy since you ran into the problem of a dealership potentially using some of the lease cash towards the % off msrp number lol.

And to your second point, I've seen people get protected from hard checks by stating they have their own bank, although they may be talking about finance only. I wonder if these credit checks are to determine only the MF (in which case, Mr dealer, charge me whatever MF you want because I'll buyout anyway!)

52000$ including taxes.
62000$ is the list price in Poland for GT.

I'm trying to deal with all the dealers from San Diego to OC who have my preferred color and trim.

The only one that's been catastrophic was Kia of El Cajon where the lady called me after my email inquiry and said, "do you know these are 48K cars?" I said I was aware of the details, had competing offers from other dealerships, and to not call me simply to speak down to me. She laughed and said, "well, she knew for a fact no one is giving $16K off." I asked her if she was going to give me her best price or just bored and argumentative. She said just "verifying information" and then I responded that I won't be giving her my business and she hung up.

So unless you appreciate that kind of sales approach I'd steer clear.

So, can I ask what color combo and model trim you are working on? I'm shopping the same area, planning to buy by saturday, maybe can compare notes...

I'm working on GT 2 in either white or metal , RWD, black leather...and going to buy (finance and pay off shortly thereafter)... best sale price on the car, before TTLR that I have gotten has been around 41,7xx.

Have you gotten better results anywhere?

Not really. I'm mostly interested in White w/ red, but my wife is willing to take a white w/ black. I'd prefer the panthera but I doubt she's going to approve of it from what she's saying.

I listed the best pricing I've received in my earlier post but so far it's words over the phone without any paperwork in my inbox. I do notice that this time around everyone texts me and requests permission to continue texting. That's more substantial than a phone call but less nailed down than an actual detailed price agreement.

Are you (or others) replying "yes" to those requests to text or simply waiting until they email you the quote?

If you don't want to take the 41,700 offer, let me know and I can take it ;)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I'd keep beating them up. Just got a quote for $38k+fees/taxes for panthera AWD so they should be coming down lower than that imo.

is that a GT2?

Yes.

Also have a white on black AWD for $38K purchase price. Working up a lease deal now and I'll see if that gets any lower. I'll pass the info along if I decide on a different car...but that tells me there's still room to move if multiple dealers are sending that out on paper.

strangely seems like the AWD are going for lower than the RWD. . .

They're about $2K higher for me so far. I've been getting $35kish quotes on lease to buy options.

Do you think it's worth it to work a deal on a "new" Stinger with 5K miles on it? If so, how large of a discount would that merit?

Got it done today... unexpectedly...

New 2019 GT2 RWD in white w/ black leather
Temecula matched the $41400 offer I got from other dealers, so I got what I wanted at a place ten min from home...

Maybe cound have squeezed $200-300 more out of them... but as an earlier poster said... $41,400 on a $51,845 is a great deal on a great car... now, what to do first???

Grats!

Maybe you could try squeezing dealer add-ons instead?

I'm wondering if I can ask a dealer to do the stinger script install for me for free. Or perhaps asking a Kia service person to do anything on a car is a bad idea.

Dang, all for free?
Or the trusting part? lol

Lol....no.....this was done at custom shop ....guy actually owns a stinger too! Not sure the service guys would take the time .....I know they can't wrap cars.....heck I had my oil changed the other day and the tech left is grimy fingerprints on my hood!‍♂️

Walk around your dealer's service center and interact with the crew before you trust them to do any fine detail work.

The GTS I saw on the floor was so swirled it was noticeable from the doorway. I asked about the paint and the sales manager said he'd get his detailer to fix it after I bought it...I said no thanks, that's probably who did it :/

That was me! :D

Anyway, congratulations on a great deal and to your new car. Your persistence and patience paid off. Now the next hardest part is waiting to drive your new car home! :)
