What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

I'm down south in Murrieta near Temecula.

Sweet! By the way, where are you? Looks like Riverside County? I’m over in Brea.

Here’s mine:

Powder coated wheels, gloss black badges, Ark GT-F Springs, tint, E Badges, etc. I think I’m pretty much done.
How much to powder coat the wheels? were they done in gloss black as well?

I like it, it looks good, the only thing that bugged me a little is it being flat, the middle section doesn't full close the gap. There is no light going through it so I think the adhesive fills it in, but if looking at it from the top you can see. But I'll get a close up when in a little bit. But like I said it looks good, the black chrome is a pretty good match to the rest. If there ever was a 5.0 I would like if the black background was clear coated I think would look good.
I had the same problem with my Stinger badge. I even tried going with the rear emblem to cover up paint damage under the OG front badge... but it doesnt sit flush. Sometimes when it is really hot I'll try to push it in a little and it seems to grab, but as it cools or rains it forms a little space. Doesn't seem like a big issue, but as an OCD car guy it is not ideal!

How are you liking that Vintage K 4.0 badge in the front? I currently have the metal skin but looking at replacing with something that looks better. Can I get a closeup pic?

Forogot yesterday to get the close up picture. I just got a picture of how it looks up close and how "flush" it sticks. If want more let me know. (Pictures Below)

Yeah, I just looked at close since putting it on and I see the adhesive is not closing up the gap anymore. Like you said it's not a huge issue but definitely bugs me as well... Maybe I'll put back the original with an overlay... I can small specs of debris already in there... Luckily I left the badges off when I had it ceramic coated so maybe that will at least provide a bit of protection for now.

Happen to take some more internal pictures on the set up?
I will be doing it again and to make it a little more clean and use solder as well and will take some photos.

I’m right around the corner from you. I’m Menifee area right next to Canyon Lake
Cool, we need to get a local group going. Got another buddy here in Murrieta that is responsible for me getting into a Stinger that's just starting to add some mods. When we first talked we both said we weren't gonna do anything to the cars. Ha, fat chance!

Completely wrapped front end of car with XPEL paint protection film, including front chrome, headlights and bumpers. Had Ceramic Pro applied as top coat. In addition, ceramic coated wheels and calipers. Buzzed back roads in upstate New York in Sport mode and managed to avoid getting any speeding tickets. Definition of a “Good Stinger Day.”

How do you like the Expel? I'm considering it once my ceramic's reached end of life and I get some rock chips (and yes, tiny paint peels) fixed. She's gorgeous!

So far so good with the Xpel. Edge seal is invisible and impossible to tell what has been Xpelled and what has not. I did have the PPF covered with CeramicPro bronze (2 year warranty) to improve the hydrophobic properties of the film. In Upstate NY, the highway departments turn the roadways white with salt from mid November until mid March. Even though my wife calls my cars garage queens, I needed something that will protect my Stinger queen’s delicate paint from NaCl as well as sand grit. I do believe that Xpel will do the job.

I really do like the Stinger, as much fun as my Porsche 911 Carrera was and faster than my BMW 335 ix.

BTW, why wait for your ceramic to wear off. My car had a coating applied by the dealer. To remove it, we clay barred the car and had a paint coating surface prep applied before the Xpel was put on. Adhesion has been outstanding.

Good to hear and a good suggestion. I'm waiting to see how the paint looks when I'm a bit closer to the end of the 3-year warranty as some of it is clearly not from rock hits. It's not that bad right now, but I want to see if it gets worse. And I'm in Illinois. NaCl is our life, unfortunately.
