Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Terry,

I bought one yesterday to try.

Is it possible for oil sludge or oil accumulation to clog it? Should it be cleaned once a year? Can a tiny amount of oil get through with the vapors? It sounds too good to be true but worth testing, because I like your products and want to support. Keep up the good work!

Like any OCC you can't separate 100% of the oil without adding restriction. You aim to stop 90% while introducing less than 10% of an extra flow restriction.

We've used a similar baffled design on our OCCs for years and have never had one clog out of thousands of them out in use. But it is fully servicable if you want to take it apart some day to check. :)

Ordered one just now (and a JB4 to go with it).

Seems like a neat idea with less maintenance than a regular OCC, hopefully it's equally effective.

Got in 20 of our unique Stinger zero-service OCC! Get them while they are hot. ;)

Is this compatible with the 2.0L?

I think you're going to need to produce more :-)

I'm waiting until I hit 1K miles, first free oil change from dealer, before doing any mods.. At that point, I'm hoping they'll be available through Sal? Seems to be another "we can't ship to California" item.. :-(

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Our Stinger OCC is not legal for sale or use in California, correct.

That's interesting. Is there a concern from the authorities that it may interfere in a negative fashion with emissions control?

No but you need to proactively get certification for any performance part in California. Given the the low volume predicted on this one it's not worth the $~10k expense to get it certified. We do plan to certify the JB4 though. Working on it.

Interesting. Thank you for the explanation!

IIRC, you submitted the Q50 before the Stinger, right? Is that done yet?

It passed all tests and was submitted to CARB 4 months ago for final approval. Waiting to hear back. Got to love California.

On the Stinger we have not submitted yet but are in the process of getting everything together.

How long until they are back in stock?

Thanks.

Few weeks.

You guys hear La p3 is coming out with a v2 of the pro tuner

I was able to find a sneak peak of it @Terry@BMS Rumor is the cost will hold at $1200 because it now comes with a full mobile app that allows you to read your logs!

Heres a pic

Just curious Terry - you guys working on any oil / transmission cooler upgrades? Some kind of add-on to your in-progress intercooler that fits / integrates easily?

Not currently no, but open to the idea if there is a need and demand. We make them for other models.

Can stock plugs gapped down handle map 5+? Or would I just have to upgrade to the denso's?

Yes but if you're going to go through the trouble to remove them I'd spend the $60 for new better plugs. :)
