Walk past your locked car with the key on you. This makes the mirrors open out. Don’t unlock the car, just go stand near the smart boot and open it. Now close it, and walk away. The mirrors fold back in after a minute or so.
Auto-hold won’t prevent this. I don’t believe it uses the park brake (internal drums) and it just maintains brake pressure (pads still in contact with the rotors).

Cruise control: I discovered yesterday, if you set your drive mode to smart and activate the cruise control, it will never go into eco mode. The car stays in comfort no matter what. The moment you turn the CC off it jumps right in to eco mode.
btw. many people still tell me you get better mpg with CC. In my case, I can get the same mpg without.
my buddies '91 prelude did this in highschool and it would piss me off that he would yell "overdrive!" when it happened since overdrive is pretty much the opposite of dropping down a gear...
If you place a phone on the wireless charging pad but have the drivers door open it will not charge (engine running of course). Shut the door and it starts charging. Open the door again, charger goes off. Stumbled across it tonight after almost a year of owning a Stinger. Was sitting talking with the engine on and door open, threw the phone on the charger and nothing. Double checked a couple of times then even checked the menu settings to make sure nothing had reset, all was in order. Left the phone on the charger, finished the conversation and shut the door and it started charging straight away, mystery solved.
Is there a condition where the hatchback will unlatch but will not open? I've had this happen a couple of times when pressing the button on the hatch to open it. Pressing it again closes it and then again opens it as normal.

I've recently had this happen a few times. I credited it to not holding the hatch button in long enough, but I could be wrong. It's never happened when using the release on the dash or the fob. It never happened the first year I had the car, just in the past few months.

Only if you leave it in the charger and turn the engine off and open the door to get out. I’m talking about it not charging regardless of engine on or off with the drivers door open

If you let up on the brake when stopped, enough to hold of level ground, the motor doesn't shut off or restarts from auto off. Good in Florida, since it gets hot in the cabin with the motor off, usually restarts the motor anyway because of the heat, but then blows hot air for a second or 2.
Today discovered and interesting observation that frequently Camry (latest version) drivers want to race me, probably they think pffffff a KIA... I will leave that Kia in the dust, but they don't know I will rape their soccer mom cars big time if I put the car in sport and floor the gas pedal.

So during some spirted driving this weekend in some light traffic on the highway (dumb slow drivers in the left lane) I found that the blind spot detection warning colors will change from the White/Amber color on the hud to a flashing White/Red color is you get close enough to the car your passing.
Kept hearing a rattle on the passenger's side (not sure how that works out "down under") and happen to glance over and see it is the seat belt buckle hitting the side pillar when I go over rough spots or turn sharp, re positioned and it disappeared, however, buckle seems to find it's way back, so I changed the position of the adjustment in the side pillar and that seemed to do it -- any suggestions.
