How to launch on boost

I would guess even 275 on stock rims may be too wide as well. Thats a shame because the NT05's jump from 255 to 275 and the next best option would be the NT555 G2s. They at least come in 265 width, but still think the NT05s would be better for digs even at the 255 width. Wish I could test different tires until I found the best option but appreciate the feedback.
Let me know what tire you land on...will be lQQking soon.

Will do. I may have to get another used one since my back left is wearing a lot faster than my right.:mad:I must still be having differential issues and don’t want to waste $ on new tires yet, so I’ll have to play it by ear. But will let you know either way.

For those concerned about staging at the track, I'm wondering if you keep your foot off the brake pedal and use the e-brake as your brake as you approach the line if it will work.

I think you will still roll forward a little bit as you get on the throttle. I dunno, I have to test more after work today, my Dragy is charged :D

I tried a LC and an e-brake launch back to back over my lunch hour. Dragy was dead so no definitive info but the e-brake method seems a lot better!

I was a bit of a cluster with the e-brake launch. I started with my left foot on the break as I would with LC and then engaged the e-brake (I did not creep at all) then foot off the brake, release the e-brake, and she went!

I'm charging Dragy now...

Nice - are you AWD or RWD?

I tried it again last night and was able to leave on 11psi according to my jb4 log. Screenshots attached. This was on an incline as well, AWD, k&n filters.

Wow thats impressive and makes me even more jealous of you lucky AWD Stingers!:(

It surprised me for sure. Chirped the tires in sport. Curious if going to custom and setting the transfer case to comfort would change how it launches too

Or betterr yet, wonder what launching it on a radial will do..

With it only chirping the tires on all seasons (i am running a Sumitomo tire with a 500 wear rating) i wouldn't think a radial would do much on an AWD yet.

Are you fully engaging the e brake or just putting tension on it? You launch when you disengage the e brake?

The 2 times i have done it i followed the previous instructions. Complete stop, hold foot brakes like you would to use launch control, pull and hold the ebrake up, let off foot brake, i give it a little throttle to test if it is holding, if it is i go wide open, car spools up and goes to around 2800, let go of the ebrake and enjoy the ride.

Mine still seems to creep forward after 2500, how is everyone getting it to settle and not move? Seems like I can’t ever replicate it

Someone needs to try to launch on boost at the track to see of they can get it to work.

I might go to the track this weekend if it does not rain. I am trying to to hit 11's again and possibly break my record and take the number 1 spot or move up to the number 2 spot.

I might try it I am just skeptical about using the E brake and launching hard.

I ease into the throttle slightly to make sure it is holding before i go wide open. I have done it 3x now with no roll forward

Just keep practicing in a empty lot or street until you know how it will behave.

That way you can replicate it and maybe even take a video of the steps so you see exactly what you need to do at the track too.

Maybe try starting in 2nd gear like brancky suggested for RWD Stingers.

If i pull the ebrake up and smash the throttle the car will pull through it. I ease into it and it seems to hold but i also only have the jb4 and cone k&n filters. If you are full bolt on you may be making more power at that rpm with boost and that could be why it is pulling.
