The website says that it's not available. My understanding is that it's being tested (which you would think that would have been done before they put it on the website?!?!)

How do you find out which map version number you have? On which screen?

I cannot find "navigation set up" or "system info" on nav.

It's not in Nav. You hit the Setup button to get to the main menu, scroll right to the system info (or About) button. Tap on that.

That is 12.5, that is what I have. The one on the site is to 13, and it is newer than what we have. However, the site says it is still not yet available. The main page shows it as available but has an asterisk for 'some models'. I checked the Stinger and the 2018 Optima and it was not available for either car.

How did you figure it was 12.5 by those numbers?

Because I received the 12.5 update card/package in the mail and it actually notes what the number will be when the update is complete. When it was done, just as it said, the new map version number was what you showed. That is the main thing to look at, the NAM.11.47....

Just spoke to Kia, they are sending me (Good Will) v13 maps in the next 2 weeks and will call to verify everything is ok. It's just a "wait and see" game now.

I called early this week they are sending me the update as well. Fedex shows delivering Monday for me

The last message I got from them on this was "screen shot received, will work on Saturday if not sooner." whatever that means.

Also in speaking with the map company directly about all the errors and missing roads, roads that have been around for 4+ years, I'm told they are not in this update and might be in the next update.

$145 = Kia Maps that are out of date
Free = Google Maps that are not out of date

When will car companies stop trying to do their own maps

I got the 13 update today and it’s a pretty nice one. I can tell the UI uses higher resolution graphics (not much but still noticeable, specially in the maps) and many small option updates all around. Oh and the map also pinch and zoom now.

One thing I don’t like is I lost Google Search which I found useful since I connected the car WiFi to my phone hotspot. Although it gained voice search on the map POIs, wish it had kept both options.

I am not sure if these changes was because of 13 or prior version since I went from original firmware to 13.

Also I had read the fake engine noise had an OFF option but I do not see it available.

What about audio usb file search is it still there?

Your car has wifi?

The engine sound is in the setup -》 engine menu at least that's where mine is but I can tell no difference between on and off

Don’t all these have WiFi? I know we don’t get cell connection like Canada does but I thought all US cars had WIFI.

I’ll check but the sound option wasn’t in the Custom settings page.

I don't remember seeing where you setup wifi. I'll take pictures of engine sound for you
