So seems 13 removed both Google Search AND the Engine Sound option (the whole reason I wanted to upgrade). Argh!! Why do I even want WIFI now without Google Search? As a software developer this is a f*ck up, I rather had received 12.5 instead. Doubt that there is a way to restore previous version right?

Looks like they got rid of "Coasting" too.

Where is the WiFi setting at on your menus? Kia is shipping me a map update for free since I just purchased last month and I'm 2 updates behind.

The Engine Sound option I tried it on the way home yesterday in off and enhanced in Eco, Comfort and Sport modes and I could not hear a difference at all.

I think 2018s don’t have the hardware for that feature.

Is there in the first page of settings. I wonder if they removed the WIFI cards for 2019s?

I am still mostly pissed for losing Google Search, didn’t even think they would remove such a great feature, specially when they left WIFI.

For those in version 12.5 with a 2018 - do you still have WIFI and Google Search?

Would be cool to have a cheat sheet of all the differences between 2018 and 19 and the version of software instead of a generic description of what the differences are.

Yes, these cars can connecto to wifi networks near by, they can also connect to your hot spot.
The coasting feature is only available on the 2019s and has more to do with the transmission than the infotainment system. Same goes for the fake exhaust sound "OFF" option, only available on the 2019s.

The WiFi seems to be only 2018's or maybe non US customers as I don't have WiFi options.

I have a 2019, I do not have Google Search or WiFi but I do have Engine Noise and Coast. My Map version is 11.47.44.465.105.2

I have the same version, new version is expected to be delivered via FedEx this Friday.20190502_170830.webp

I really wish I could go back to my prior version, losing Google Search is 100% a downgrade for me.

I am in the US and have WIFI, maybe only 2018s

If you have a copy of the old can you downgrade?

so just to make sure - anyone with a 2018 that upgraded to 12.5 and did not lose Google Search?

Just to confirm you can’t go back, what’s done is done. The old SD Card is pretty much unusable, maps don’t work and can’t “update” back to old firmware.

Does version 13 have Coasting for the 2019 models?

Does the transmission shift to neutral when "Coasting" appears on the dash?
I notice the RPM decrease to a idle 750.

Why wouldn't you be able to go back. If the SD card has the old firmware and maps wouldn't it just get reflashed to the old firmware?

I haven't tried this on the Stinger as I've just downloaded to the existing card for updates (overwriting the old version), but it's pretty common on a FW update to get a message that the version you are attempting to install is older than the currently installed one.

Ahh yes good point.

Sadly not even a message stating that the version in SD card is older than the one installed, it just asks you to insert the card for the update and ignores the one there. I really which I had not updated. :(
