Drag/Acceleration The Official 1/4 mile track thread.

60 foot was off by .1 and full runs were .05 ish.

Makes sense, the shorter the run the lower the accuracy. Who cares about 60'? 1/4 is all that matters. Does make me wonder on 60' whether the dragy or track is more accurate. Some tracks have removable timing lights and they don't always go back in the right spot. Used to be an issue at Sacrmento raceway inflating traps because the last 60' between lights was actually 58' sometimes.
 
My intake temps were 140 at the track and as low as 55 doing dragy runs. Thats the virtual racing magic and also why manufacturers times are hard to match.
I guess we're lucky down here in the winter, our tracks are open all year and it's pretty normal to have nights in the 30s or colder for those sweet sweet IATs

We should get some 40 degree opportunities in Seattle. Our temps jumped from the 30s to the 60s in a week but should come back down. If the track opening wasn't delayed 2 hours i could have had high 40s.
I also just noticed my first run of the day (that i screwed) up had a 1 mph higher trap.
The morning run had a -401 DA and my 11.87 run had a + 643 DA. So i guess that makes sense.

Just curious did you use launch control on this run? Did you lower the psi on the tires?
Per Facebook - yes he used launch control, still spun a little with AWD.

Thanks, good to know I figured launch control if used properly and not spin should make the time faster in 1/4 mile.
 
For Track Results:
1. Provide picture of track Slip. Try to provide a picture of the track slip by your car number if possible, this will ensure the track slip belongs to your car.
2. Video of track run. Its 2019 and everyone owns a smart phone. Have someone record you when you make your runs. If you break a record then this is the ultimate proof that no one can deny. This is what will make your run 100 percent validated. Of course make sure you record the time at the end. (Optional, Not Required but preferred)
3. List all performance mods, including tires, WMI, Nitrous, weight reduction, etc......

For Dragy Results:
1.Post the dragy slip/result. Your name should match your user name or real name to make sure you used it on your car.
2. If possible have someone record you, although not required but helpful. (Optional, Not required but preferred)
3. Be honest about the conditions you ran in, meaning temperatures. Winter time vs summer time. Dragy should be used more as a performance reference, rather than the ultimate 1/4 results.
4. List all of your performance mods.

All my runs (9 in total) were with LC this time. I took the PSI down to 35 and 32 by the 5th run where I got that time, so I think it helped. I still did a little spinning in the back though.

Your not a good candidate for running the list, a lot of people have blocked you and wont be able to see the list. Myself included. Turning block back on now.;)

Sucks for you man since I started this thread lol. I don't understand why you are on this thread if you have me blocked. I been running this thread and updating the list since I started it and no one has had an issue yet. I think I been doing a decent job at it, on keeping everyone honest. If that is how you feel then I cant help you. I thought we were pass this bolony?

I did send an apology your way and don't know if you got it or accept it but that's on you.

I am an adult and I moved pass the past you can stay stuck on it if you want sir, if it makes you sleep better at night.

Only admins can edit a post after a few days but robz32 will update once per week if you ping him with the latest post. I did this on Fridays.
