• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

Thank you very much. I'll get a section going and link to it in a few minutes. We can build on it from there. I just want to avoid all the regular important NON-Australia "specific" discussions going in there. In other words, I don't want to take valuable information OUT of the main Stinger forum if it pertains to ALL Stingers. If something is specific to Australia - then it fits in the Stingers Down Under section. Does that make sense?

Now that we have an Australian section. Might be time to mark this thread as read only. Otherwise, it's just going to grow and grow and grow and grow ;)

Yep. That's the plate for the new wheels when they arrive. I bought it the same day I placed the order with KiaAu.

I debated adding a number at the end, but decided to just stick another R on!

My wife informs me that her "Research" has found a group of Scorpions (Closest to Stingers) is known as a "Cyclone"
Scorpion was a car made by Mitsubishi in the late 70s. I’m more for wasps or bees hence swarm is good description

MMH....Could be right I suppose its open to interpretation. My imagination conjures up scorpions or perhaps some sought of stinging jelly fish or stingray. But then again I could be getting into corvette territory.

I agree but I don't want to prevent anyone from posting where they want. "Choice" is a good thing. But I believe the natural progression of time will eventually bring all Australian related discussions out in the open (in the main area as individual topics). One of these days I'll need to go through and separate all the inter-connected conversations in this thread so they're easy for people to find...

I see the Stinger not as an insect animal or sea creature but purely as a machine hence Squadron of Stingers seems appropriate.

I assume the back seats are down? Also, how the heck do you get back into the car??

Yeah the backseats are down. There's a a two man swag in there and a wakeskate and wakeboard too!
I get in through the front door if that's what you mean. I have just enough space in the garage on one side.

Rafa limited edition stinger has been updated on Kia.com.au, it’s 2.0 model with brown interior.

Hi Everyone,

There still is low supply in Australia for immediate delivery Stinger GT 3.3's. With some crafty stock management and order fudging I have secured a total of 6 GT models for arrival by end of June in just about every colour. They are selling so don't wait.

My understanding is that they are using them as surveillance cars like they have done in the past with the Optima GT-Line's purchased from us.
