• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

View attachment 1517 pictues do not do justice to the colour of this vehicle. It turned heads. Navigated her home safely. Tazz i cranked up the stereo with the base set to 10, and felt very faint vibrations from vent on the floor- assumed this to be the subwoofer, i assume the sub woofer is all ok? So many features to learn.

Oz, thanks for testing your stereo I'm still not convinced mine is right so will follow it up with Kia. After a couple weeks of ownership i reckon I've taken more photos of this car than I did of my new born children.

I'm still to put the first 1000km on the clock and holding back in this car takes a lot of discipline to keep it under 2k rpm. Second tank of fuel in ECO mode just covered 500km and that was almost all short trip stop start driving around town in 60/70km zones. I would hope that long distance highway driving should get at least 650kms out of the 65 litre tank?

So once the engine is run in and I can drive the car the way it was made to my current sub 12l/100 will no doubt jump up to 15 and I'll head down south in the new year and see if I can get sub 10.

Ozstung and Tazztattoo, your killing me with all these great photos of your Deep Chroma Blue Stingers, but your Stingers are looking so beautiful, it is like looking at my own Stinger which i am waiting for, in the same colour.

After nearly 1 month of ownership of stinger I just realized today there is no CD player in this car. All my nearly 50 CDs are wasted, give my mom for Xmas gift.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Tazztattoo, checked my subwoofers, I can feel it works, when I turn volume to 20, I can feel deep base from outside the car, about in 1m range.

After driving SUVs for the last 12 years getting into a low profile sports car with limited sight lines through the back windows and a long bonnet has been a BIG adjustment. I dont know how anyone could have a Stinger without the 360 degree camera view, this feature is a lifesaver for your rims and bumpers and is the best tech feature of the car that I never knew I needed.

So for anyone else making the transition from an SUV, a word or warning......STAY AWAY FROM KERBS as you cant see them especially at low speeds in car parks and USE YOUR CAMERAS.

Also highly recommended is taking the main KIA badges off, replacing them with the E and script badges so you can watch all the onlookers staring at the car with absolutely no idea what it is. The reaction when they find out it's a Kia is priceless.

Tazztattoo I'm glad you asked re the subwoofers cause I have thought that they aren't really working. SGT Gt is your bass set to max or just on normal.

I didn’t adjusted any sound settings, I just use default setting. It’s depends on the music source you listen to.

Guys you can use the song call rockstar from YouTube music, this song is really good to test your sound system. This version is much much better than the 96.1 EDGE version.

Guys, to test the subs you need to physically hold the palm of your hand directly on the speaker grills under the front seats. Go into your sound system equalizer settings and increase the bass level. If you then play rock/dance music loud the subs should be going DOOF DOOF, if you cant feel any vibration at all then they are not working.

Sub-woofers should produce even more power/energy that the mid/bass speakers in the doors and if you place your hand on the door speakers they will be working as you can both hear the sound and feel the vibration with your hand on them.

..in that case i doubt mine are working to. The best i got was a weak pulse that was with full base and the sound cranked up. The doors however were shaking.

That blue does look really awesome. Congratulations! We don't get it here in the U.S. At least not yet...

Just record your CDs onto a thumb drive or whatever they call it these days. Like one of these. Wouldn't that do the trick? Anyone?

See above about the thumb drive.

I would think you should definitely feel more vibration from the larger speaker beneath the seat...

Thanks for the thumb drive reference, i think there called Usb or flash drives?
Also no thumping from the floor sub woofers.

I bet your subs have been disconnected. Heard it can happen on another forum.
