What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Would inspect this deal closely. Destination on the car is set by Kia and I believe it's $900 on a 2018. Also, the lease cash on an 18 is $7700 for a RWD.

The $36,565 is invoice on the car before destination (it has some dealer add ons that I’m not thrilled are on there but it’s ok). They originally had the $900 destination fee inbut we agreed to split it, so they knocked off $450.

I think you are seeing the lease cash for the MY18 GT2 RWD, which is indeed $7,700. The lease cash for the 18 base GT RWD is $5,600 according to kias website. If I’m confused on this please let me know, I’d be thrilled to save another $2k

They must have jacked your money factor waaaaay up to negate the "discount" they gave to you. Doesn't matter since you're buying it out, but wow.

I'm out of town so I can't see what I wrote down but I believe the money factor is .00248 (which from what I've seen of other quoted mf is indeed high) . Is that bad? Is the price before ttf a good deal for buyout purposes or should I negotiate out down further? When I see other people's dealer discounts it makes me feel like mine could be higher.

It's essentially a 5.95% interest rate (.00248) vs the more common 4.66% (.00194), again it's irrelevant if you're buying it out.

As far as negotiating I think you could have gotten a bigger discount, especially if the dealer increased the MF for their own bottomline and that's not what KMF qualified you at. I would aim for at least 50k sale price before incentives.

I was about to post a novel, but I decided to rewrite it to be shorter.

I'm looking at getting a 2019 GT2 AWD w/ All Seasons. I have not test driven anything yet and only contacted a few dealers via True Car.

Dealer 1: $5,500 off MSRP, but no 2019s, so I write them off but use the offer as leverage elsewhere
Dealer 2: $50,313 (down from $54,175, $3862 off)
Dealer 3: $49,333 (down from $54,230, $4897 off)

Dealer 2 has a black car that matches my criteria, but I prefer a different color that easier to keep clean. They said they found a grey one that they could get for me with a deposit. I pressed them for a better price though and they said that's just what the manager requires them to send, but they're certain the manager would do better than $4k off. They are about 40 minutes away from me.

Dealer 3 has no 2019s, but can get a blue or silver one with a deposit. I pressed them for a better price but they said that's the best they can do. I asked about the $2k/2.9% and they said the rebate is included but not the rate. When I asked for clarification they said the rate offers can't be combined with the True Car price. They are about 20 minutes away from me. I'd actually pass them on the way to Dealer 2.

I currently have an appointment with Dealer 2 on Monday morning because Dealer 3 didn't get back to me until a few days after making the appointment. I also have a trade to negotiate on.

It seems like Dealer 3 has the best deal right now, but Dealer 2 could have some promise depending on how far they're willing to negotiate. There's also the issue of travel distance for maintenance.

So dealer 3 offered 47,333 after 2k/2.9 which seems good. But they offered me about 2 to 3k low for my trade relative to blue book and carvana. I still have an appointment with the other dealer on Monday, so it's not a good enough deal to make me not see what the other guy can offer. And that's for one not on their lot.

Hi Kyle, sorry I missed that this was a GT, not a GT2. You are correct.

You might want to shop around a bit more. I got a 2018 GT2 Ceramic Silver Red interior this week for $35,800 (lease) out of a dealer in Virginia. Have to ship it to my residence in Georgia, but well worth it!

I previously was working a deal with Southwest Kia in Austin on a Blue GT2 RWD and they were at $37,700 with lease cash and incentives.

I suspect deals will get very good this week and next.

Got it! Are those prices all before ttf? I’m looking to get below 32k before fees. This is the only deal I’ve been able to get down to that point so far.

Haven’t really shopped GT2s, but the dealer with the only GT1 in my area wouldn’t go down more than 2k off msrp...

That is before taxes and fees.

MSRP = $50,270
Price after incentives = $35,800

Add processing fee of $600 and Tax, Title and License. TTL varies quite a bit by state.

Gotcha! If this gt deal falls through I may take a chance on waiting until part way into 2018 to see if any more MY18 GT2s are floating around

Well, I got stung. 2019 Stinger GT2 AWD, Black w/ red interior, remote start, all season tires. The red interior is amazing. And I think my wife will strangle me if I say how awesome the HUD is one more time.

MSRP: $53,680.
Discount: $5,000
Rebate: $2,000 w/ 2.9%
Sale: $46,680 before tax and fees.

They also gave me $500 above Carvana offer for my trade, which was more than I expected. They gave me $9,000 as a first offer. The dealer I went to on Saturday offered me $5,500 after I laughed (literally, both my wife and I laughed when he put the paper down) at their first offer of $4,000.

Their first offer was sticker, plus the rebate. I told him I was offered $6,000 off sticker by the other dealer. He came back and said $6,000 can be done. He was really trying to sell the black one they had on the lot, but I wasn't too keen on black because of the upkeep. He asked how much more would be needed to sell the black one, I said another $1,500, he said maybe another few hundred. He talked to the manager, kicked the tires of my trade a bit more, then came back with another $1,000 off, and off we went.

I'm pretty happy with the deal. $7k off sticker seems pretty good, plus getting above blue book for my trade.

Now to decide between Weathertech and Tuxmat before I get too much winter gunk in the car...

Just picked mine up today! '18 Chroma Blue GT2 AWD

MSRP $52,625

Final deal: $35k out the door with my trade ('15 Chrysler 200S) (I'm in PA, so 6% sales tax)

Also got the Remote Start and Wheel Protection Plan thrown in. Dunno how it compares to other deals, but I think I did ok.

@Muggi ... how much was given in difference of your trade?

12,500, which was pretty much the average from what I saw on sites like kbb. I had the dealer pull up recent auction sales as well, most were going for 10-11.5k in my area so we both took a little risk IMO.

So nothing owed? You got a solid value. You’ll adore this car.

Picked up a black with red interior 18 GT1 with the drive wise msrp was $46,485. I got them down to $39,000 before taxes, title, fees with 0% interest. Hoping I got the best deal I could, I feel like I did.

Doesn’t sound too bad as long as you’re happy, I think you might have been able to get them close to that number with all the fees.

Just picked up a 2019 Ceramic Grey GT1 with Red Interior, $41,040. Believe MSRP was ~ $46,600. I was hesitant given that Kia potentially has high depreciation. 24 hours in i am glad i made the decision to get the KIA. Awesome car to drive.
