I would have posted the info myself but I wasn't 100% sure and I don't like to make statements unless I'm 100% sure they are accurate. But in my defense, I didn't do it to promote Lap3. I only did it because I know it would have gone unnoticed for a long time and I don't like being fed misinformation from vendors.

Let the community sort things out on their own is the way it should be. Vendors should spread information only about their own products.

If the etiquette police around here saw what was being posted by some of these guys in other venues they'd probably have aneurysms.

Anyway my point was not to "shit" on any product. Ignoring the value proposition, I wanted our customers to know technically speaking at best it's a less developed version of the JB4. Of course we're working hard to improve the JB4's performance & features, and I'm sure they will be doing the same. But if they try to tell you their system is "more advanced" don't have any of it. If one of their cars is running faster or making more power it's just running more aggressive tuning and/or has more modifications.

I own a JB4 and I am extremely happy .... let me start by saying Terry is a great bullshitter and wordsmith .... he does shit on other products but that’s ok by me it’s America ... not Jwolf I get your point about Terry and you are correct ... no need to vent off on the forum most people here have his product including myself .... Terry is the kind of guy to take a piss sitting down ..... Terry is the kind of guy to tell you to use his piggy back on top of an ecu tune ... Terry is the kind of guys to tell you that a piggyback tune well his JB4 is better than a proper ecu tune .... at the end of the day it does not matter man don’t take anything personal ... I own a jb4 and I am happy but eventually I will get an actual ecu tune and probably sell my jb4 .... guys have fun let the shit talking begin ....

If you're in to technical stuff check out the WMI thread showing fuel pressure tanking at higher boost levels. We've found our first platform limitation to work on. :)

I don't know exactly which parameter is fuel pressure from that log, but if it wasn't a fluke that it's dropping, then I suppose that hybrid turbos will definitely require additional fueling. That's kind of a bummer :(

I'm not sure how this car works exactly, but was the LPFP at max duty cycle?

That is high fuel pressure. We don't have low fuel pressure logging active yet, that is next on the to-do list, now that I see high pressure is an issue at higher power levels on E85. We just added high pressure today after customers reported a mystery stumble on high E85 and high boost combinations. Of course, WMI can mask the problem by supplementing fuel volume. And running race gas instead of E85 would also take a lot of pressure off the pump. So don't count hybrids out yet. All said the limit here is fairly similar to what we see with other direct injection motors using factory fueling parts.

Race gas would definitely solve the issue for the stock turbos, but I don't plan to run race gas on a daily at $10/gallon. I'm in Cali too so 91 is all I have readily available (and e85 but that wouldn't help the problem), so I think maxing the stock turbos on 91 will be the limit for me.

Of course if you talk to me again in two years I'll probably be running race gas AND WMI with two EFR 6258's under the hood and god knows what else it takes to accomplish that :rofl:

So I’m back..... since you seem to think I’m just here to hate on terry. Lets ask him to look see if he Remembers the name of the guy who did some research and realized Terry had a product that could be easily used on the stinger. Who the guywas that sent him multiple pictures explaining his obvervation and verifying that the connectors worked, who is the guy who gave home a heads up about the danger of popping stock plugs, the the guy was who bugged him for several months about it and who drove 2 plus hours and let him drive the car and on some testing..... that’s right that was me. I have one sole purpose in being here and in doing the things I do. To advance the aftermarket of this community. I helped terry get started with the Stingers but somehow I’m against him....... know your facts.

And let’s talk about the free parts you say I get........ I was very well known in the KIA community for my Optima build so when Keen design saw I was planning a cross country trip in my Stinger YES they gave me a free set of wheels..... now before we move on let’s talk about the mutual benefit for them of the product exposure and about how much context I have privided for them I made sure to take plenty of pictures and stop at every state making sure to have their wheels in the shot so they were able to get there money’s worth.

Next item.... there is a magna flow exhaust available for this car as quickly as there was because i let magnaflow borrow my car several times over the course of over a month so they could to testing and development. I gave up my car for a few weeks, drove to San Diego and spent my own money on gas and my time to drive there so it could happen.

You guys enjoy those Injen intakes? ......same thing they had my car in their posesion for over a month in a few visits to develop and dyno an intake that performed.

Guess who bought a spare hood with their own money and delivered it to seibon in January of this year... i did. I got a hood in exchange for helping them out but i still have to take my time and go to seibon several times for them to test fit and to take measurements.

There are more seibon parts coming after sema that I pushed them to make and spent my own money to buy and give to them so develop parts from.

I got ark coilovers at a discount, I was the first to have them on the car and they got some valuable information that they can then pass on to their customers as well as exposure and content.

I can keep going on a few other projects I have going on but I’m not allowed to speak on those yet.

I have done more for this community netting zero overall financial gain from it than anyone else. I have done more that you have or ever will.
 
Oh man you should see the Facebook groups for this car and how much everyone talks up Lap3 - it's the complete opposite of what you wrote. Everyone with a Lap3 on Facebook talks so much trash...
